Start slow and build up. Also, build strength in your legs. Leg press or squats and lunges! I've had knee problems for years. Due to some past injuries and being extremely weak when I started working out again early in the year my worse knee would pop (knee cap momentarily popping out and instantly back in when my foot…

Any good fitting boxer-brief should work. Highly recommend non-cotton like the UnderArmor or Nike Fit. Ex Officio makes some really comfortable boxer briefs if you can find a place near you that sells them.

I'm glad to see you being opened minded about your daughter wanting to try a food or restaurant she's not tried. After reading so many of the responses I get the feeling that many people would not be so accommodating and open minded. As for KFC, it's salty, greasy and I used to like it once in a great while. I had it once…

I look in the mirror regularly and see everything. I see my imperfections and the parts of me that I want to continue working on improving, but lately I've started to like what I'm seeing as well. I've never thought of myself as all that attractive, but after losing all this weight and getting in shape I do think I look…

This statement is patently absurd and wrong. You want to lose weight you eat at a calorie deficit. It doesn't matter how much you exercise if you eat more calories than you burn, you will not be losing weight. EXERCISE IS FOR FITNESS, CALORIE DEFICIT IS FOR WEIGHT LOSS! Provided you have set up your MFP profile the way…

Completely disagree. Your body is constantly adapting over time, trying to lose body mass as slowly as possible to give the best chance of survival in case of a prolonged famine (think human history and evolution). You have to find an optimal calorie deficit that provides enough food for your body to be relaxed, but that…

There are good, caring, honest, loyal people out there. They don't draw attention to themselves, but they are out in the world nearly everywhere. What I will say, having given my heart and had it broken without care, that "give a *kitten*" part is not gone for good. It takes the longest to come back, but it does…

The changes are relatively gradual, and you see yourself every day. You'll start noticing when something catches your attention that something changed. Even though I saw the scale going down regularly I didn't notice the changes in my body as quickly. Then my clothes started to be looser and looser, so I snapped a pic of…

Sure would. Like the back tats, superhippiechik!

I've also lost 67 lbs....but you look way better for it! You look incredible and should be very proud of what you've accomplished!

First I would contact the police and ask if they can share any of the specifics of the prior reports, specifically asking about time of day and location. If it's something that has only happened in the evening (after school or normal 1st shift work hours), then I would be slightly less concerned. Slightly. I would say that…

After exercise like that your muscles will be swollen, retaining more water than usual. Also if you try to eat back all the calories the simple volume of food is likely much higher than you are used to. More volume means more food weight going through your stomach and intestines. A...eat if you're hungry but don't force…

Don't have a ring to wear, but did have to take a link out of my watch band. Hands and fingers are noticeably thinner and knobbier at the knuckles.

Knees don't heal themselves very well. I've done about everything I can to mine without having to have surgery. Clicks are pops are part of my every day. If during the wreck you landed hard on that knee, you could have chipped some cartilage in the patellar track due driving the kneecap into with the impact. If not that,…

As already said, your body needs rest days. Rest and recuperation are necessary parts of a good training program. That's why if you train every day, you alternate muscle groups so you never work the same muscles really hard many days in a row. Life is variable, you have to be flexible and adaptable so that one bad day at…

I use the MFP app on my android smartphone when not at home. At home, I write everything on a pad of paper I keep on the counter and log on the computer as soon as I can. Do that for food and exercise.

Talk to your doctor! Seriously, you need to have the right nutrition (sufficient calories, vitamins, minerals) to ensure your and your babies health. Asking randomly on the internet is not the way to go.

Wow... don't mind me while I do a double take... :noway: You look great!

I drink fat free milk because I like the taste. To me, whole milk tastes like I'm drinking a melted stick of unsalted butter. The whole article posted by the OP is nothing by alarmist propaganda. The part about skim milk being produced in industrial feed / milking farms and pens is true. It's also true for basically ALL…

From last year to now, massive difference! From June to today, not a big difference. Slightly slimmer. You definitely do not look like you're backsliding at all. Remember, progress slows the closer you get to a healthy weight. To keep progress going, you're going to have to find time to workout (both cardio and weight…

Back in the spring I got sick with some nasty stomach virus that stuck around for a couple days. Lost 13 lbs in 2 days as I couldn't eat and my body emptied everything out of every hole in my body.....forcefully. Obviously I didn't work out while sick. Once I could eat, I just ate whatever. Didn't log or track. Gained the…

Your food diary is private, go under Settings and Diary Settings to change that. Will need it public for us to see it. One other way to answer your question: Go to www.fat2fitradio.com and use their BMR calculator. You'll get a very similar result as from MFP BMR calculations. BMR is what your body burns in 24 hours…

It was hard to keep my shirt tucked in at work today. I'd stretch my arms over my head and out popped the polo shirt. When I started MFP back in January I was squeezing into 40 waist pants. Now the 36s I wear are loose and I am hitting the last hole on the new set of belts I bought over the summer.

Outside unless there is ice or a lot of snow. Not going to risk an injury due to bad traction. Just dress for the weather. Growing up in Ohio where winter can get pretty cold, I would bundle up with a number of light weight layers. When it got to single digits out and heavy breathing in that cold air would make my lungs…

That formula gives me the exact same results as the Harris-Benedict formula. See Fat2Fitradio.com to double check your math for yourself. MFP uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equations, and for me that comes out slightly lower than Harris-Benedict (1970 vs 2094 for a 6'2", 214 lb, 36 yr old male). Do understand that any and all…

When I'm at home, everything gets measured. Anything solid goes on the food scale for a weigh in. I'm not going to count out a serving from a box of pasta, that gets weighed. Liquids go in measuring cups. simple. I keep a pad of paper and pen next to the food scale and write it all down while cooking.
