I just ordered a Thermos 18can lunch tote off of amazon. I've seen a colleague carrying her lunch to work in it and I loved it. It doesn't look like a lunchbag, it's insulated, and it's HUGE. Plus I've decided not to get one of those big bento-style lunch containers. i do like them, but I also like the flexibility my…

Let me know if you decide to get that one. I was worried it might be too big. I carry a LOT of food but I hide it in a tote bag. And this one is very obviously a lunchbag... So I don't know. I tried to find it at a GNC (they do sell them, not at every store though...) but I wasn't able to find a store who carries it so…

You are worried about him getting a DUI?!? What about him KILLING somebody while he drives home drunk? What about him hitting a person, a kid, a mother, a father with his car and KILLING them? Ever thought of that? What he is doing is not only bringing himself in danger, but everybody out on the streets where he is driving…

I looked into the planet boxes. How do you like the amount of food it holds? Is it too little for a whole day of work? To me those boxes look very small...

Those look awesome! Maybe a tad bit too big for me, but I'll definitely look into it. That's pretty much what I was looking for. Thanks!

I'm the same and I might do the same thing... Especially because my scale does weird things sometimes (I need to step on 10times to get an estimate of how much I weigh). And yeah, the scale drives me crazy and makes me depressed and anxious. I never tought I'd become that way, but now I did. I'm trying out your approach,…

I also have the laptop lunches containers (not the outer box, though) and I find they are hard to close, even harder to open and when not closed properly they leak. I really don't like them. I had balsamic dressing all over the inside of my new bag once because of that :-((

BUT: My strength seems to be very unevenly distributed. I tried out the biceps curl machine (not the free weights, but one of the machines...) for the very first time today. The lowest setting is 15lbs. I tried and nothing moved. I thought the machine was broken. I tried again and it finally moved *lol* So yeah, I can leg…

I'm a girl and just started out at 150lbs. I could do more I guess (I'm doing 3 sets of 12 repetitions). I've seen guys who only leg pressed about 100lbs. Since I'm not particularly strong I'm sure they could do more and I'm sure you could do more too. Maybe you're just underestimating yourself?

I just did the exact same thing today. It scares me too. I don't want to gain. I'm now up to 1,410 (from 1,200 previously). I didn't lose anything for over two weeks and I've only lost 1lb over the past month. So I knew something had to change and I can't go any lower than 1,200. I know it seems counter-intuitive, but I…

Logging in daily too. Feel free to add me! :))

Thanks, Lora! I'd really like to hear from other people as well. What I'm particularly interested in are the actual containers (like "Easy Lunchboxes" or "Mr. Bento" containers). I know everybody can benefit from bringing their own lunch. And having pretty containers to bring it in makes it easier - at least for me.

Thank you for the explanation! I really did not know that. The breed of chicken we have at our family farm in Austria is one that comes in several colors (except black): from white to dark brown. It's like the hair color of people. So we have eggs that range from white to brown and everything in between. Have you ever…

Why does the color of the egg make any difference? (I've heard people say that before, that we should only buy brown eggs... We used to have them from our own hens and when the hens were brown, the eggs were brown. When the hens were white, the eggs were white. So what's the difference? Or does industrial production make a…

Let me post that as an answer or extension of what you wrote: I grew up on a Farm in Austria, Europe. We grew our fruits and veggies ourselves (no chemicals, nothing, all natural), we slaughtered our own animals to have meat (sounds cruel, but knowing that those had a great life so far, were treated really well, had…

I didn't read every answer post, so sorry if I'm repeating somebody else. First: I feel you. I totally know what you mean. I also fell off the bandwaggon for a while. However, i did not gain (only 2-4 lbs which at my size is not too bad). Anyway... No matter if I'm logging or not, I will ALWAYS continue to eat much more…

I haven't read the whole book (browsed it, read reviews etc.). But I lived in France for a while. And I love the way they celebrate eating as a big event. Anyway... about picky eating: I used to be a picky eater. But I tought myself not to be that person anymore. Your taste buds will adjust - I PROMISE you. Just force…

What do you think should have happened to them? Do you think somebody poisoned sweets? I don't get it... Well, I'm not American, maybe that's it... But if you're scared your kids are going to eat poisoned food, then don't let them go take candy from strangers... It's as simple as that.

who's coming to Florida? Don't you know I'm in Florida too?

Love this thread! Keep the tips coming... I try to cook on the weekends so I have lunch and dinner for at least four days. I have a weird schedule (grad student... oftentimes I'm working from 9am til 11pm) and previously I used to go to the food court (no no!) or some other fast food place (Panera was among the healthier…

Is it weird that I have no idea what's going on here?

I definitely want to know his reaction! Please share it with us if it's not too personal...

yay, love that thread! :) I'm nerdy in my own ways. More like a mixture of Monk and Hermione Granger.

"foie gras" means "fat liver". I lived in France and although I've only tried it once (not a big fan of liver...) I have to say that in the European Union (AND in France - which is a member) it is FORBIDDEN to produce the liver the way you describe it. Nobody is forcefed. The goose eat how much they want (and they usually…

Okay, I can't quote every single entry that made me laugh out loud here... You guys are hilarious! Thanks for cheering up my morning! :)

Really? I'm curious to see that happening with me... When I was skinnier (size 6-8) I still had a large chest. I think this is very individual. If your boobs only appeared when you put on the weight, they usually will go when you lose it. If you had big boobs before you gained weight, I'm guessing they're here to stay...…

Don't feed the TROLL! This is obviously fake, so no worries...
