I'm new to this and I'm going to give it a good go, but since I started eating more, I'm hungrier than I was when I wasn't eating enough! Does this make any sense to anyone? Or am I just backwards? lol

Thank you :) I've been doing lots of reading on it this afternoon so it's a little less scary lol! I looked up my TDEE and BMR and adjusted MFP. TDEE minus 15-20%... so from what I can gather as long as I stay within that number and my BMR, I should be alright... ??

Curvy!! That's the way I'm built, but I understand not everyone is built the same. As long as you're fit, that's what counts.

You look absolutely amazing! Not only is the difference on the outside but I can tell there's a huge difference on the inside and your confidence shows through. Well done, sir, so incredibly motivating! :o)

I'm 5'7", my profile pic is where I'm at now (195.0 lbs) after 104 days (14 total inches gone)... started at 207.4 lbs... heading for toned 155-160!!

Yes, I agree! I was in a seven year relationship similar to this and the best thing I ever did was leave! You don't realize how much the emotional abuse, belittling, bullying, and in the end physical abuse really starts to wear you down, take away your self-respect and "happy-go-lucky" attitude. When I left I felt like I…

^^^ this! My husband and I, when we were dating, lived 5 hours apart. We dated for a little over a year, seeing each other when we could (usually once every two months or so), and distance didn't stop either of us from being committed to the other and when it was the right time, I didn't hesitate to move to be with him (it…

I like a lot of the recipes in the Eat Clean cookbook, and they're all on the Eat Clean website! Easy to make, fast, and really tasty! They even have a budget-friendly section, which comes in handy in our place! http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes.aspx

Totally feel the same way!! Once I started eating better the "bad" stuff didn't taste so good anymore, and if I did eat it I'd feel rotten afterwards. I haven't had a BK Whopper (one of my old faves!) or McD's in at least 2 months and I'm not going to be going to either place any time soon :) I would consider that a NSV if…

I vote for either Dal (Halifax) or Queen's (Kingston). Both have excellent programs and both cities are beautiful, I've lived in each for a few years and it's good to be in a place where you can do something during your non-academic down time :) Good luck!!

this is a great suggestion!

sponge cake - 1 piece (1/12 of a 16 oz cake): 110 cals Jam is usually measured per tbsp. and is about 50 cals cream - like custard? It would probably be the same... about 50 cals buttercream frosting/icing is gonna run you about 150-200 cals for 3 tbsp. (enough to cover a slice of cake) Safe to bet about 400 cals, I'd say.…

Well said!! It isn't easy when no one else is "on board" with what you're trying to achieve, which is health and inner happiness. I agree with the "just say no" aspect. I've had to deal with it so often myself and I don't make excuses. I smile and say something like "wow, that looks delicious, but no... Thanks for asking!"…

mine are shrinking... or sagging (I am 40 after all!)... it's always one of the first places to lose weight... but no matter what size they are or aren't, as long as they look ok, feel ok, and are healthy, I don't care if they're concave!! :glasses: Glad you're happy with yours :)

^^^^ this!

hehe, you ROCK! :) :flowerforyou: Seriously though folks, she is awesome :)

Thanks for this! I just started today and I'm a little apprehensive and nervous that I might be setting myself up for failure (setting goals too high) but I'm determined to do it, even if I have to repeat a week! The breathing is what's always difficult when I run... I suffer from nasal allergies and breathing in through…

Yep, 40 (turning 41 in a couple of weeks... eek!) and no kids for me and hubby! Only a four-legged fur-kid who thinks she's people lol!

NB right here! Campbellton-born, Moncton-raised, and living outside of Fredericton now :)

SW: 207.4 CW: 197.4 GW: 155-160 I'm not too hung up on the numbers to be totally honest, I'm more concerned on how I feel when I get near my GW. If I am fit, lean and healthy at 160 then that's good enough for me :)

Choose steamed veggies over fried ones, avoid creamy sauces, gravies and dips, don't go nuts at the buffet (as in don't go back for seconds and thirds lol!) and choose fruit deserts over rich ones - lots of tropical fruit on those cruises! Drink lots of bottled water to stay hydrated as well. As for drinks - mix your…
