  • hello! 24 here :) love MFP! been here for almost three months, please add me! :)
  • Thank you Amanda! I'm excited for everyone :) My name is Angie. I'm 24 years old, living in California. Current weight 149.4, goal weight for end of August 145. Don't want to be too ambitious because I know how I am.. heh. I have been on MFP for about 2 and a half months, I really like using the App on my iphone. Glad I…
  • Hi! Would love to join you but will be a few days behind as well, I will be starting on the 7th I think. :)
  • Any more room in the challenge? I'd love to join!
  • Great job so far! But at your weight, its pretty impossible to lose 7lbs of fat in one week! I know its exciting to see changes on the scale, but it's really important to have realistic exceptions :):) A good part of that weight loss is very likely to be water weight. So don't feel discouraged that you gained a little back…
  • welcome and good luck :))
  • Hello k8 :) Sounds great, would love to have more friends to keep each other motivated and accountable. My food log is open as well, and I'm on my day 12 of 30D SD, love it so far. Baked goods is my weakness, I also love all kinds of breads and cheeses.
  • 30DS have 3 different lvls, each lvl is the same amount of time. (what I'm doing is lvl1 for 10 days, then lvl 2 for 10 days, and so on) The actual workout is 20 mins I believe, but there is a short warm up before and cool down after. I feel like because how short it is, it's very manageable. :) Good luck!
  • Hello! Well, just like you said, "no matter what it takes" right? When I was first getting back on track I was afraid to weigh myself too. Like you, I'm 5'6" and at my highest I weigh 168, so I started exercising rigorously and counting calories two years ago, when I got down to 145 I stopped, long story short 'life' got…
  • I started by doing it every other day, because like you, I'm doing C25K as well. After the first week though I started doing 30DS every day even on the days that I run. It helped me break my weight loss plateau. You may be sore at first, but once you get into the routine it's not too hard to handle. Currently I'm on Day 11…
  • Sounds good, I could always use more friends for accountability and motivation :) I'm Angie, 5'6" as well! My first mini goal is on September 1st, 5 lbs to go, hopefully I make it!
  • I log as circuit training.
  • I used to jog a little bit when I was in college, so it didn't get hard for me until the 25 min run. I think it was W6D3, I was stuck on it for a week, I'm at W8D2 now, I'm sorry to say but it just doesn't get any easier... What helped me though is running slowly, I think at one point I was running less than 5m/hr... but…
  • I do it 3 times a week on the days I take a break from running.. Im thinking about doing it everyday though, I like it a lot since its nice and short. :)
  • I normally have nonfat greek yogurt with honey, fruits and nuts. Sometimes on top of that I will have a slice of whole grain bread and a hard boiled egg.
  • sounds like fun, I'd like to be part of this :)
  • I had the same problem with boredom eating, make sure you don't keep any junk food around for snacking solved mine. Instead I stocked my bridge with fresh fruits and other healthier alternatives. You can eat whatever you want, I think moderation is the key.
  • Hahaha. Umm, well yes I used to play a lot, not anymore though, I kinda wish I can play it standing up or something, nowadays I mostly play kinect games, its fun and burns extra calorie! two birds one stone.
  • I see.. I did read around the web that natural sugar is not as bad as refined sugar... although its the same amount of calories. Also I'm kind of guilty when it comes to desserts-like cakes and baked goods too, haha. Anyway, thanks for the feedback guys, I feel better now. :)
  • mine is between 25%-30% ish my biggest meal alternate between lunch and dinner. frankly it's just really hard to eat a lot so early in the morning.. also I snack a lot so often my three meals are kind of equal value. :)
  • fage 0%.. most amazing yummy tasting yogurt ever. I have mine with a little honey, walnuts and fresh fruit. gosh, so good!!
  • water bottle count? XD
  • haha yes, its hard sometimes...I had eggplant with garlic sauce yesterday, it was from a takeout place, (not very authentic I know..) and I can only guess how many calories it had. You can always add all the ingredients of a meal and create a recipe if you cook at home, but it takes a lot of time, and if you eat out even…
  • Hi Sarah, A hundred pushups sounds ambitious haha, I have no fear for c25k, but pushups.. I feel pretty hopeless about that. Unfortunately I'm still on W5D3 of c25k, I took a week off after my dental surgery, now week 5 is suddenly harder to do, I guess you really need to stick to the plan. Thanks for replying, added. :)
  • When we had our puppy spayed we did the old fashioned way.. partly because it was 10 years ago and I think laser wasn't really a option back then. She healed fine and was running around like a puppy again couple days after the surgery. The regular surgery has been around for a long time, I'm sure it is fine. Congrats on…
  • Hello Kelbe! Seems you are doing great on your weight loss journey! Good job :)) Thanks for replying :) I've been to Modesto before! Pretty sure I had the best yellow peach I EVER had in my entire life there. Such delicious fruit.
  • like mdmohrenne said, BMR is what you need to maintain your weight... you need a calorie deficiency to lose weight, however if you have a active enough life style, or work out a lot, you don't have to cut back too much from your BMR, which I suspect is your case. :)
  • Ohhh wow, hello greenhumancaly :) We are very close then! So glad it's finally sunny! I usually do my runs at LG creek trail, it's the only one I know that has decent amount of shade so I can go whenever during the day. I think I might stay on week 5 for a while, my speed is really horrible, so I kind of want to improve on…
  • Helllo Jterry :) The weather has been acting weird this year, it's pouring... in June!! Very unusual for the bay. Yes, everyone is very encouraging and nice, I'm glad I posted here :))
  • Hehe, thanks guys :) Gary, I used to use the site only, but I'd often forget to include a few things by the end of the day...not all packaging is savable.....It's amazing how many random things I snack on until I started keeping track of it all. One downside about the phone app is no forum access though.. Hoping you'll…
