Think of all the time it took for you to gain the weight in the first place, then how much effort it takes for you to lose it. neither of these can be reversed in a day. you're not going to gain a ridiculous amount of weight because of one bad day. all that matters now is how you handle it. do you pick yourself up and keep…

if that is you in your profile pic...i don't think it's a good idea to lose weight

you're allowed a snack as long as you budget for it in your calories. and if it doesn't fit, eat it whilst taking a walk.

If someone is posting something as scientific fact then they have to back it up. i have spent a lot of my own time reading numerous (and often conflicting) articles about the health impact of soda. i don't think it's up to me to have to find the proof myself if someone is categorically stating 'this is how it is'.

i know you're giving advice, but if you're going to make statements about health (osteoporosis, kidneys problems etc.) please can you show us the research to back this up? thanks

with regards to my earlier question, i'd like to add a few points. firstly, well done on your efforts so far to recover - i've no doubt it must be incredibly hard and a constant struggle, but it can be overcome. i just would worry that a site like this would not help you in your attempts to recover - surely you need to…

are you sure you are in recovery if you are trying to lose weight?

as someone who was overweight at that age, i remember being acutely embarassed and sensitive about it and reacting badly to my family trying (even subtly) to get me more active or eat less. i think the more of an 'issue' it was the less i was willing to do anything about it and the more food became a comfort. even if…

I'm a US size 4 and still think of myself as 'the fat one'. so i've no idea, but if you figure it out, please let me know! on a side note, congrats on the 8 and keep up the good work! :)

whilst i think it's good to have a goal in mind, i think it's dangerous to categorically say 'i will lose x amount of weight in x amount of time'. instead, i think it might be healthier to focus on getting as physically fit as possible and educating yourself about nutrition etc and then weight loss will happen but you'll…

hey thanks to both of you for replying. to the previous poster yes i'm very limited with regards to space at the moment, and need something i can pack away. but good idea anyway. would you say that the calorie counter that comes with the stepper is correct? because i've read a few reviews which say it isn't. thanks :)
