Woah. that took a turn for the...something. smdh.

2+ plus? Sure, for endurance training. Once a week for a marathon, twice a week for an ultra. 2+ hours On a machine? Hell 2 da naw.

Clif just came out with a line of stuff for endurance athletes called 'organic energy food'. If you can get past the name, most of them are pretty good, and I believe they are gluten free. I like the Sweet Potato/Sea Salt and the Beet/Banana/Ginger ones. Sounds gross, but actually taste really good out there. Consistency…

Nope, doesn't have anything to do with running. If you are tripping or tilting to one side, chances are your posture is wrong or your core is weak.
-
psst. I don't think you know what a dexa scan is.

10 bucks says this guy starts a thread later about how his coworkers sabotage his efforts, and at least 4 people come in and say "they are just jealous, you do you, boo"

It doesn't sound like shin splints, those usually lower leg pain (or all along the shin bone). It may be what you have described before - and in that case things like icing the area after your runs are going to help more (also, might be a good idea to see an ortho about it). But if the shoes continue to make it worse -…

I generally take one ever 6 miles or 45 minutes - I might take one a bit early if I feel a dip in energy, but on race day, even if I feel like I don't need it yet, I won't take on late. As far as for in training, try out a few different kinds, in some different flavors. What tastes great at mile 6 might taste like liquid…

Other runners. The twitchy ones packing knives, guns, and bear spray for a 2 mile jog through the city. But mostly its been distracted drivers and well-hidden rocks that have interrupted my runs.

Endurance athletes are frail pieces of glass by the end. Its probably safer just to sit on the couch all day. That's just science.

probably skinny fat.

The first thing you'll want to do is a detox or juice cleanse. You will lose about 8lbs in toxins alone. That should help with both goals. I dunno about the ultra though, that sounds dangerous. I heard that much cardio will cause all your muscles to melt away and for your bones to literally break.

Yeah, you'll get serious runners at every distance. I remember lining up for a local Turkey Trot a few years ago and suddenly having the Santa Monica Track Club show up to race. Boom. Surprise Olympians. The good news is that unless you are one of the elites, you're really only ever racing yourself.

Semantics aside...what is your running schedule like?

Plz to not spam my thread about running. Bye now.

...War Machine? Is that you?

Yup, this. Everyone wants to quote Born To Run, but they seem to not notice that the shoe the author rehabbed himself in was the Brooks Beast, a big traditional running shoe, not Vibrams. For some people its great. For others it is not. The only long-term studies have shown no difference in injury rates between heel and…

I was lied to. There was nothing 'daily' about this motivation.

Those were all for me. Hands off my garbage food!

Sup? I heard things were calm and rational in here

Returns (they should have a 30 day or similar return policy, so you can take the shoes out for a few runs and still return them if you find they give you blisters or something); how they do fittings (someone watching your gait, analyzing balance etc).

That's a lot of words to say "I'm being creepy"

I love her so much! If only that stupid flaky btch would realize it!!!! So. Very. Creepy.

Is it possible? Sure, but that's not much time to allow for injuries or setbacks. I'd recommend hitting a 10k and half marathon first - just to make sure you actually like running long distances, and to get some race day experience. Training to run 40-50 miles a week is so very much different than running 10 miles a week.…

a quick google search turned up this place, which looks like it might have the right policies http://www.therunningcentre.com.au/

I wouldn't trust footlocker. To me, orthotics are something a doctor or PT should get you into. If you have a good running store to go to, I'd start there. Fix the shoe problem first, and then if you are still having issues, see a doctor (though ice and stretching will help with shin splints)

No, you're going to die.

well here we go
