I only run @6 months out of the year. From December-February, and June-August I barely run at all. It's too hot or too cold and I replace it with swimming (summer) or yoga (winter). As soon as the weather is fair 40-65degrees I pick up running again for the season and run 3-4 times per week, 3-10 miles per day. The first…

Name: Vontessa Age: 40 (feel 30) Gender: Female Starting Weight: 210.5 Current Weight: 169 Goal Weight 159 I've officially changed my goal weight from 164 (got there twice) to 159. Found many of my current MFP friends this way and it's nice to have friends with similar goals.

I try to follow their food guidelines. Not to the "T", but as general guidelines. I looked at the exercises and you'd either need a lot of equipment, or need to belong to a gym to get all the exercises in. In terms of workouts I'm just finishing up 90 days of ChaLEAN Extreme Challenge. My weights go up to 50#, but most…

S3 all the way. I went from a blackberry to this and love it. Yes, it's a little big, but reception is so much better than the iPhone. My tech-geek husband has the iPhone through work and he has phone envy. Tells everyone we meet how much better the S3 is. Get one now.

I take GNC Women's Ultra Mega® Active. They have an option without Iron. You take 2 caplets per day per the instructions. I also take one Nature's Bounty Odorless Fish Oil 1200 mg softgel daily. I workout 5-6 times a week: strength training, running, yoga. I don't feel any different taking them versus not taking them. I do…

My husband would agree with this 100%. He also keeps insisting giving him a BJ will make my neck pain go away. This joke never gets old for him. To the OP, many good ideas so far, so mine are not original. Alternate each alcoholic drink with a glass of water. Tylenol before bed. Greasy food with carbs (like hamburger &…

I'll start the Lean phase tomorrow and should finish up mid-January since I will be gone for week in there. I'm going to purchase Brazilian Butt Lift and Extreme Abs. My sister has Turbo Fire and we're going to share back and forth. I'll do that regularly until the weather starts to warm up and then I'll incorporate…

I like it with a ton of ice and a straw. Usually only order it while having brunch. OJ has to much sugar for me.

I quit using Chantix. I smoked 1.5-2 packs a day for @10 years, and then cut back to a pack every 2-3 days for another 9 years. Quit 12/2/09 and haven't looked back. Yes, it was hard, but it was so worth it. I also have lost @45 lbs. since then and can run for an hour non-stop so whoever tells you quitting smoking causes…

I loved smoking too. I quit 3 years ago the first week in December. It was a few months after that, I decided to get healthy, start managing my portions, and working out. I couldn't imagine being a smoker now. I could never workout like I do if I were still a smoker. I may have a craving every once in a while, but I really…

Wow! I was burning @225-290 in Burn, @190-260 in Push. That's just the lifting ones, not any of the interval workouts. I haven't done Lean yet. I'm 5'8" and roughly 168 lbs.

I have an old air purifier that doesn't purify the air anymore and they don't make parts for it, but it still turns on. It's a soft wind noise and is on the other side of the room, but does the trick.

I think women in their 20s can do this. After 30 (closer to 40) not so much. Haven't followed any guy's diets. I was able to lose weight pretty easily eating like that as long as I kept in my calorie goal. I lost very well eating 100 calorie snacks, and lean cuisines. I also didn't have to workout and the weight came off.…

My ideal weight is 155-159. I got to my goal weight of 164, but I still have some more fat to lose - especially under my arms and in my middle. Currently balancing calorie intake with cardio and strength training to reduce my body fat.

Do you know this from experience? Mine only hurt a lot for the first 2 days. By day 5, not really much at all. Oh, and mine looked completely real within @ 3 weeks, and besides the scars (which are healing nicely), no one would ever know I got them done unless I told them. The trick is to go with a modest size for your…

I did it. I love it. You look to have a very small frame. You could do it, but you wouldn't want to go very big or they would look fake, and that's all people would notice about you - not your nice figure that you work hard to maintain...or your brain.

Hal Higdon (free downloads) Chi Running (borrow the book free from the library) I used both to increase my running speed AND distance.

Yes, I consistently work out 5-6 times per week. Right now I'm doing 3 days of lifting with a ChaLEAN extreme video workout 32-38 minutes each. Then on alternate days I run 3+ miles, so @35-45 minutes. I usually don't work out on Sundays, but I'm not against it. Over the summer I went swimming 2-3 times per week and went…

I do - but not because they're there. Because I'm hungry. I also realized I burn X number of calories just sitting around, so when I use my HRM and log activity, it's not really 200 calories burned, its more like 125 since I would have burned 75 just watching TV. Because of that, I reduced my daily target calorie intake by…

Bump. I've hit my original goal weight, but I'm not really happy here, plus I keep bumping above it a little, so I've set my goal for another 5-10 lbs. to loose. I've been working on that for way too long. Time to get serious.

Also easy meals. Yesterday took 20 oz. Jennie O' Turkey 93%, 3 eggs, 1 cup quick oats, 3/4 of a can diced tomatoes, 1 package of onion soup mix. Mix it all together, then put the remaining 1/4 tomatoes on top. Put in a greased 4X8 pan and in the oven at 325 for 90 minutes. It took 5 minutes to put together and I cut it…

I do a lot of cooking one day a week and then have 2-4 servings that I can put in the fridge or freezer. I also do like Amy's Organic foods if you need something prepackaged. They're more expensive than say a Lean Cuisine, but a much better option IMO.

I bring my dog. No one is crazy enough to jump someone with a dog. But I only run in heavily populated areas, never at night, and keep my music pretty low.

Hey, I'm 5'8" and weigh 164 too! Great job. You look amazing!!! I am finding I can fit into most 8 dresses and work pants, but jeans and shorts are still size 10 (I'm still working on my gut). So are you done (not that you need to loose more) but just curious because my original goal was 164, but I'm going for 159!

This is how I connected to most my friends on this board. Can always use a few more. Height: 5'8" SW: 210 CW: 167 GW: 159 vanity (164 is my original which I hit March 2012)

I did it just a few months ago for my 40th birthday (and as a reward for getting to goal). I love it. Did not go big, just full and to my shape. Best thing I ever did for myself. Feel free to ask me any questions.
