I think tipping is a bigger thing in the US, do you have minimum wage there? In the UK I consider tipping to be earned by good service, i reaaly don't like it to be on the bill already. It can lead to bad service as they don't care because they will get the service tio regardless. If the service is bad I won't tip. I…

I'm in the last few days of month 2. I haven't lost loads of weight, but I didn't have very much to lose, but my body has literally transformed. It's an amazing programme, but it is very, very tough, you really have to commit. Do that, and you won't regret it. Just keep doing your best, even on the days when you don't want…

I think it's more likely that you are not fully recovered from sickness. I'd step back a week with the programme though, and that should help you get back up to speed when you are well enough. Do something lighter for a week, and recover fully. Good luck.

I'm not sure what to recommend for your specific needs, but I'm doing P90X next. I reckon it will burn quite a but of fat too
-
Yeah, I didn't see much fresh veg in there, or fruit. Get back to nature, the processed stuff isn't too great for you in quantity.

Do it whenever you can fit it into your schedule. But I will say that I find, that if I do it in the morning first thing, I am far less likely to put it off. If you do it in the evenings and then you have something come up, you may decide not to do your workout. First thing it just becomes part of the day that you do, plus…

I've done day 47 this morning. It's such a good programme, but super tough. Sometimes you won't want to do it, but if you can push through you'll feel so good that you did. Such a massive change in my body in a relatively short time. As someone else said, concentrate on your form, it's virtually impossible to keep up with…

I second that. Peanut butter, or indeed almost any nut is great for extra protein, and all full of natural goodness. A banana makes a good snack, boom there's 100 calories straight off. Have fruit throughout the day. Buy it from a market where it's the cheapest you can get it. 1200 is definitely too low, you will be…

even if you don't want to lose weight, it is always a good idea to watch your calories. It doesn't make sense to ignore it.
-
Yes. Walking the dog counts. If you've got an injury, that is a completely valid reason to not do anything today, but as long as it's not too bad then go for it tomorrow.
-
Just start with walking, a little faster than you would normally but not by much. Then, you start to raise the pace, when you are ready, after a short while, you might feel ready to take on something else. Or pick something you enjoy. Swimming, or a sport that you find fun. As long as you are getting off the sofa and doing…

I'm on week 2 of month 2. I was running 5K about 3 times a week before starting this. I reckon you'll be fine, month 2 is where is really kicks in, but it's great. I've lost some weight, but that wasn't the main motivation for me, but the toning up is working brilliantly, at least that's what my wife says.

I'm on week 2 of month 2. It's great, as long as you are motivated, as it's very tough. Definitely worth it though. I'd recommend a HRM, and I use exercise mats as I don't like sweating on my floor, and boy do you sweat, so grab a towel too.

How about trying a deli. Real fresh ingredients, you tell them exactly what you want and it's just as fast as fast food, but without all the additives and you'll be fuller for longer too. Plus you can put it directly into MFP before you even go if you want to work out the calories. If possible try and avoid fast food. I…

That is confusing. Well for starters, as you say it's not a fad diet. In fact it's not a diet at all, so it won't be something you come off, so the lbs won't come back on. But for her to say calorie counting doesn't work, is just weird. Ask her why she thinks it doesn't work? Of course it works, how can you argue with…

It's not really practical for me to do it later in the day, as I take over the front room, and I don't really think it's that fair to do that in the evening. At the moment I have to get up at 6am to do the workouts that last around 40 minutes. So in order to get the fit test (27 mins) and the new workout (60 mins) in I'd…

Just finished month 1. It definitely works if you are willing to put the work in. It's hard work, and will push you, but if you can push back then you will make it. I have lost several inches, and my abs are starting to show. Just do it, but commit to it.

I don't have any bought suggestions, but whenever I cook something like a lasagne, or a stew or curry I always make sure I have a at least a couple of extra portions, for either later in the week, or they go in the freezer. This week, I'm having 2 meals from the freezer that I know are cooked with fresh produce and no…

Yeah, i think re-doing week 4 is a good idea, as I hear month 2 is really crazy.

It's fine to weigh yourself after the toilet in the morning, as long as that is when you always do it. I think it's about consitency of the weighing, not the regularity.
-
My understanding is that, your calorie goals are based on natural daily burn. So you should definitely not enter anything other than actual exercise. Things like house-cleaning and walking to the shops are generally not that heavy on calorie burn, unless they are vigourous. I quite often log my walk to the station in the…
-
As everyone is saying, and you probably already know, a HRM is the only accurate way of recording your calorie burn. Before I got mine I was logging Insanity as Circuit Training. But you can't really use this, or other peoples guide burns as an indication, as everyone is completly different. As an example I did the Cardio…

I've just accepted your friend request, I agree I think it will be great to have the support of people who are doing the same thing. Keep up the good work, We can do this.

I did day 2 as a taster on Friday, and boy is it a lot tougher than the fit test. In fact the Fit Test is a walk in the park compared to day 2, I imagine it gets even tougher after that. But just think about the results
-
Thanks for the support, I don't have that much weight to lose, but I really want to get rid of my stubborn belly, and hopefully get a bit more definition. I've been doing a reasonable amount of exercise this year (running, squash, cycling and some cardio aerobics) so it's not killing me as much as I feared it may, but I…
