I did this once. When I walked it would move and hurt so I wrapped it up in an Ace bandage which helped keep it still till it healed.

I've read for the Polar HR when the battery dies you have to send the whole transmitter back in to have it replaced or something like that . Is that true?

I into the uhphill treadmill for now. started out doing intervels. 2.8/2-3.8/8 4 minutes each. Lately I've gone straight through for 65 minutes at 3.8/8. burns around 500 calories and boosts the toush.
