I agree that some people don't like to comment on weight even though they notice that you are losing. I lost a good 20 lbs before anyone outside of my family really said something. I didn't mind though because I knew I felt better and my clothes were getting lose and I had to buy smaller ones. Embrace the changes that you…

It's easy to say to get rid of all the foods that you don't want to eat, but let's be realistic. You live with your parents, it's their house, and frankly if your mom wants to buy that sort of food who are you to tell her that she can't? So, problem is with your willpower and being able to tell yourself and you do not need…

That's Awesome!! She will always be there with you telling you to keep going, keep going, push harder, push harder.....

I'm so sorry for your loss. No words can describe how you must be feeling at this moment. Your wife would be proud of you for taking this step into getting your life healthier. You can do this for yourself and for her!! My MIL passed away at the age of 63 almost 3 years ago and it was the hardest thing I had ever had to…

Incredible....you look great!! :) Awesome Job!!

That is AWESOME!!! You have done a GREAT job for yourself. I understand the emotional side of hanging onto comfy, larger clothes. I just had my youngest boy 10 months ago and I'm now finding myself getting rid of my fat clothes for good. I hung onto them due to me having children, but now that I won't be having anymore, it…

My 4th boy is almost 10 mo and I've been hanging onto the "I'm still BFing" excuse. I've been telling myself for months now that I need to get my butt in gear and work on myself. I always make sure that everything is good for everyone else so now is the time for me, the time for YOU!!! First, I hope that you are getting…

I take a prenatal vitamin (my baby is 9 months but I'm trying to use them up cause they are expensive) and I just started taking B12. I've noticed that since I started taking the B12 I have soooo much more energy. My energy usually cashed out once I got home, but now I don't feel as tired and wore out. I can't just crawl…

I'm not Breastfeeding, but I've been exclusively pumping for my now 9 mo since day 1. I know how you feel. I'm on the weaning process right now by only pumping 3 times a day vs. 4 times a day. I need to have myself weaned by mid-November which is when we go on a family vacation for 8 days to Disney in Florida. I'm done…

LOL...love it!! I thought the same thing!! Though I do wear some skirts....

I LOVE sweets, chocolate, hard candy, etc. and when I try to cut it out completely my body does weird things. I crave it more and more. I eat it in moderation because I can control this. When I try to cut it out and have the cravings I tend to binge on it. I learned to eat it in moderation and watch how much of it I was…

I currently weigh 160 lbs (just the pesky 1/2 lb I was hanging onto) and wear a size 10/12 in jeans, shorts, and dress pants. I wear a medium/large shirt, usually the large only because I'm still pumping for my 8 mo so I need the extra room for the girls. My BMI is 28.3 which is way better than it was a couple years ago,…

If you want a more accurate calorie number, you might want to invest in a heart rate monitor. I have one that I wear everyday whether I exercise or not because it is also my watch. I actually was burning WAY more calories than what MFP said, so I was glad when my hubby bought me one for Mother's Day.

You got this!! Friend me if you like....

I think your body needs to heal itself before you do all the dieting and working out especially since you had a c-section. I had a vaginal birth (my 4th baby is 7 mo) and my doctor didn't clear me to do any kind of exercise except walking until I hit week 12. She said that the body needs a good 3 months to heal itself back…

I knew my time had come when my best friends mom died of a heart attack in her sleep at the age of 64 and then 2 weeks later my mother-in-law had a massive heart attack at the age of 63. Both of these women were overweight and had diabetes. They were your typical grandmas who liked to spoil their grandkids with sweets and…

I have a friend who is a coach now because she has lost 65 lbs doing this program. She just repeats it at the end of the 21 days. She has been doing the program since April. She was a full-time student (now is a state-licensed RN) caring for twins and she managed to follow the diet plan 95% of the time. She looks amazing.…

I like the 60 calorie Jello Vanilla-Chocolate pudding cups. They tend to kick the craving w/out sacrificing a lot of calories. I too have an enormous sweet tooth, so it is hard when candy comes into my house. I could do without the ice cream, certain types of cakes, etc., but if you put a mini candy bar in front of me,…

I do the same. If I feel that I'm restricting myself too much, I tend to eat garbage that my body doesn't need to try to make up for what I'm missing. I have found that if I allow myself some "treats" here and there, I feel much better and can curb those cravings. If I don't curb the cravings then I tend to eat everything…

I've been many different sizes throughout my life up to this point. I too have 4 kids and my youngest just turned 4 months too. This is my first time exclusively pumping and I'm also finding it hard to figure out my calorie intake to help lose weight but not affect my supply. Since I've made it to 4 months, I'm starting to…

Agreed. I learned that when I was exercising, I needed to eat back at least 1/2 of my exercise calories otherwise the scale wasn't moving and I was STARVING. Now that I'm pumping, I stick to the same concept. I make sure to eat at least 1/2 or 3/4 of my pumping calories to make sure that I'm eating enough and preventing my…

In regards to blankets, I just put a light-weight receiving blanket on my little guy and tuck it under his armpits. I never put it up by his face. It usually stays put even though he moves around a lot and usually does a 360 degree turn in his crib.
-
I used a bumper in the crib with my first 3 boys and they were just fine. With my youngest, he tends to hit his head and get his arms and legs stuck on the outside of the crib and wakes up screaming bloody murder!! I just ordered him a bumper to match his room. I think the mesh ones are worthless, only my opinion. He hit…

I've been stuck and the same weight for about a month now. I'm exclusively pumping and I have no intentions of quitting just yet. I'm trying to just be in tune with my body right now and realize that I won't be feeding LO forever, so when I'm done, it's GAME ON!!! Once the nicer weather in WI gets here, if it ever does…

I'm exclusively Pumping and I know exactly how many calories I pump per day so I add it using the one found on the website already, 20 calories/ounce. I've heard that the rule of thumb if you are breastfeeding only is to put in 500 calories for the day. I enter between 900-1000 calories per day for my pumping. Make sure…

I've noticed that if I don't eat enough calories for the day, my output of oz is definately less. I would definately lower your calories very slowly to see how it goes, same as weaning anything else. If I don't eat all of my pumping calories back, my oz per day is usually 4-5 oz less than normal. Not everyone works this…

I exclusively pump and get an average of 45-50 oz per day pumping 5 times per day. I eat a lot of oatmeal with flax in it, stay hydrated, and eat as much protein as I can. I pump every 4 hours or so starting at 5:30 am. I go from 9:30 pm to 5:30 am without pumping and when I do my morning pump I get 15-18 oz. You can try…
-
I'm right there with you in the hunger department!! My baby just turned 3 months and though I don't BF, I exclusively pump so I know how many oz per day I get. According to MFP using 20 calories per oz, I range from 900-1000 extra calories per day. Some days I struggle to eat those calories and some days I want to eat my…
-
I exclusively pump so I add my pumping calories to my diary everyday. I pump anywhere from 45-50 ounces x 20 calories/ounce = 900-1000 calories burned while pumping. I have my calories set at 1700 per day which I do eat, but holy cow, I can't seem to eat all of my pumping calories back. I'm not hungry by any means, but I'm…

I would consult with your Dr on what is acceptable now and what you should wait on. Short walks that don't put a lot of stress on your body should be fine, but anything above that might be pushing it for at least 4-6 weeks. But it does depend on your delivery.....
