  • No offense, but she HAD to ask you to go get the oil...a woman's place is in the kitchen. How in the world can she be in the kitchen AND the grocery store at the same time?!?
  • We could give better feedback if you made your diary public. Have you been drinking enough water?
  • I used to live off of Osceola/Victoria and work at Kowalskis...all before I was 21, so I think just being able to walk up there and walk around and watch the parade was fun back then. Things were at least a bit calmer at our restaurant than last year...last year a couple getting it on got booted from the bathroom and then…
  • Totally agree with using the Smart Coach training plans from Runners World. I just ran my first half marathon last month and my running partner and I used the Galloway method (we ran 9 minutes, walked 1...after 10 miles we modified to running 4, walking 1 as I was having IT band issues) and we SURVIVED!
  • I just went to the Muddy Pig for the first time last summer. I'll definitely be back this summer!
  • P.S. The OP has a legit question, because the calorie count for a rum and diet is WAY different than a mudslide from Applebee's...so if you can find a substitute for what you're doing, that is a lifestyle change! This is no different than finding ways to slim down (or Weight Watcherize, as I like to call it) other recipes.…

  • I am! I have no problem looking for support and accountability anywhere I can find it. I love the ease of this website/app and there's something to be said about the anonymity involved, but I'm a PEOPLE PERSON! I go to the meetings for face to face interaction and a calibrated scale and the accountability of weighing in at…
  • That's good to hear! My friend, Ami, was the one to tell me to GO TO THE DOCTOR! She had suffered IT band pain last year and DIDN'T rest it and now suffers from ongoing issues because of it. I had told her about trying heat, ice, soaking, massage and a week of rest and was adamant about a longer rest period. I think the…

  • I had canceled my gym membership after buying a treadmill for my house, but that may be an option. The Y will let me pay for one month at a time

  • Welcome back! Second time is a charm! You CAN do this!
  • I ate these all the time when I was doing CrossFit and loved them. They went on sale every other week at the grocery store near me for $1 each. These were better than other protein bars that I saw because for the calorie content they had a good amount of protein WITHOUT a ton of sugar...a lot of the bars will have a super…
  • Oh, for the love... I think I would have reached through the phone and...UGHHHHH! This is absolutely sickening! What if you were with a group of wives and everyone got a phone call except ONE WOMAN. I would be all over the CMC and if they are even half human they will find a new IA coordinator ASAP. If the CMC doesn't do…
  • the quote you have on your page is 'time to change' that can mean a lot of things, but tonight it has to mean that even though your weight has stalled the change you're making is to NOT GIVE UP and to NOT GO BACK TO OLD HABITS. everyone hits plateaus and everyone has the days were they don't feel great about themselves,…
  • ME ME ME ME reasons: I'm from Minnesota I love football best kickball player...EVER I'll never be the 'crazy cat lady'...hmmm, but I may establish a Pug Farm I love pizza my second toe is longer than my big toe I have freckles on my irises I drool when I sleep sometimes I've never EVER snored...EVER I own a house with a…
  • Awwwww! He thinks I'm a lady! (no really, I AM!) I think it just kind of appealed to me in the sense of meeting other single people. I have lived in this military-dense community for over 9 of the last 12 years. I have made a lot of friends here...military and civilians...but I think I just need some new energy in my…
  • More approachable or more rufie-able?? JK =)
  • Great...now I have the Love Boat theme song in my head. Thanks...NOT! I can be plenty dense, but I wouldn't get on the ship expecting to walk off a week later with plans of going wedding dress shopping. Think it was just more appealing that I wouldn't be surrounded by nothing but couples and families...a good chance to…
  • A) you're kind of surrounded by water, so you shouldn't be scurred B) uh...duh
  • Minnesotans aren't supposed to be terrified of ANYTHING!
  • Yeah, it would be so much easier to go with someone I knew, but I'm running into the issue of most of my friends are either either married, or they don't have the means to splurge on something like this. Maybe if I give them a heads up this far out, they could save up????
  • Keep it up! I started it last August and was able to see results in the first 2 weeks. I had to stop because I got sent away for work and staying in hotels with a mando roommate didn't make working out to the DVDs while I was gone an option. I just finished my first half marathon last weekend and am all about starting…
  • I just got my first Lupron injection last month. I started the add-back therapy the same day and I seemed to be okay (had a couple of days where I was dizzy), but last week I started getting the sweats. Can't tell if it is because of 'hot flashes' or if it is because I'm in Georgia. I'm still feeling some of the pains…

  • I have such a hard time eating in the morning...especially before a workout, but one thing that I was able to handle was to eat part of a pure protein bar (like 1/4 of it) before with some water and then finish it after the work out. I tried different protein drinks/shakes/smoothies before workouts, but found that if I was…
