I just tweaked my cheat notes based on these stats - looks similar to what I've been doing but this was a much easier conversion. Also - Happy B day to your daughter! My youngest daughter is 15 and she just switched to homeschooling this year.

Thanks ms_smartypants! I haven't read the book by JM yet but have it on my list. I'm going to share her breakdown with my adult daughter. Her doctor has advised her to cut back on her carbs in an effort to shed weight.

Hi! Some of us follow Chris Powells plan (Choose to Lose). But you can also find info on sites like bodybuilding.com. The basics are you eat protein, healthy fats and low carb on one day and then protein, very low fat and high carb on the next day. It's a flexible eating lifestyle that keeps your metabolism going.

Here's my cheat note for low carb days. I don't hit this exactly but if gives me a guideline. LOW CARB DAY A low-carb day will call for about .5 grams of carbohydrate per pound of body weight. Your protein intake will usually increase to about 1.5 grams per pound, and your fat intake to around .35 grams per pound.

If today was a low carb day it looked pretty good in my opinion. If you are accurately tracking your water you came in low. You should aim for 1/2 your body weight in ounces up to a gallon each day but plain coffee and tea can also count towards this goal.

We had box dinners from Jason's Deli after the race. I had ordered my meal weeks before the race. Turkey and spinach wrap with peanut butter cookie and fruit cup. I literally unfolded the wrap and ate all the turkey. I brought the fruit and cookie home to my daughter.Low carb days are easier for me because I love meat!

Paying attention to how the different cycles affect me. Keeping in mind that these different feelings mean my body is still guessing and hopefully the fat is burning! Really want to increase my muscle mass and reduce the body fat.

Im still in shock that I've lost 2LBS in a week. If I can keep at it I should hit my goal bt 12/14. This week's hurdle is the new burger placedo wn the street. Plan is to go for the meat and skip the bread and potatoes. Work outs are on track.

So it seems like I feel "bad" on my high carb days. I don't seem to have as much energy and struggle through my workouts. I can't decide if I'm backwards or if It's because I didn't have many carbs the previous day.

Thanks pwrfl1! I'll try the proteinwith a little fat next time. I also figured if I use the net carb formula then some of the lower calorie quest. Or other protein bar will qualify as an acceptable choice when the cravings get too difficult to ignore.

Wondering about net carbs. Adkins subtracts fiber feom carbs to get net carbs. Just wondering if that's an accurate or true formula. It could be a nice thing on the low carb days. My fav Quest bar has 22 carbs and 16. Fiber.

Have you tried eating a tableapoon of nut butter and waiting 15 mins? It helpwd me for a bit but I too am craving carbs. I would love to eat an apple right about now! Im sipping stevia sweetened black ice tea instead.
