  • The Chicken recipe turned out great. Posted to pinterest on the low carb board.
  • I just layered the ingredients for the iMaui Wowie Chicken n the slow cooker. If turns out well' ll add it to pinterest.
  • I brought the naked pizza crust home in a to go box. I had two slices for my second meal today since this is my free day. I just couldn't bear to throw it out! (That's me....waste nothing....)
  • Found the MM site nutrition info and plugged in my fav pizza w/o the dough -
  • Hope you have a great weekend too ms_smartypants!
  • YES! LOL but I'm eating them and leaving the crust. The toppings are mostly meat and fat. I thought about asking if they could make one without the crust but decided not to complicate things and just work with what they bring me. The next hurdle will be keeping my serving size down. I've been waiting for this pizza for two…
  • Hi Kamilla and Welcome! I've really been focusing on getting 1/2 my body weight in water as well. I can't do 10 gulps yet but I can manage 5 through a straw. So far it's working out well! We have boards on pinterest with recipes too. :)
  • HAD TO BORROW THIS ONE! THANKS FOR SHARING! :)
  • Today is a low carb day. We are going to be dining at Mellow Mushroom this evening. I'm not a huge pizza eater, however, I do really really enjoy the Maui Wowie Pizza! Pesto base with ham, pineapple, jerk chicken, banana peppers, Applewood smoked bacon & mozzarella cheese. Biggest threat is probably the crust so tonight…
  • Sue I guess if I had abs like that Id be looking dor ways to show them off too. Lol. I would say he's also a good exanple of what the phrase. "Results not typical " means. Unless you have the right genetic makeup it takes an awful lot of rigid training and strict dietary discipline to get those types of results.
  • The Choose to Lose book mentiobs that some people may not see results for weeks. Keep eating on plan. If you see absolutely no results in inches or lbs after 30 days then we can all help you try to troubleshoot and tweak the plan so that it works for you. The main thing is don't give up!
  • The bottom line is he's pushing/selling his own product so he's going to try sway you towards what he's selling. While carb cycling won't get you shredded or make you look like a body builder it is a viable option for weight loss. Ultimately you have to find what works best for you and then stick with it. My reason for…

  • I got curious and looked this up - thought I'd share: Protein and carbohydrates both contain 4 calories per gram, while fat provides 9 calories per gram. Calculating your calorie needs can help you determine how many grams of protein, carbohydrates and fat you should consume each day.

  • Good luck with the competition tiiff! You have your own personal support team on MFP!
  • I'm keeping a written log as well. (Spiral notebook) That way I can refer back to it to quickly see what foods seem to work best for me. I know you can print out written reports with MFP but I seem to retain things more by writing them down. I have flags and post it notes in my Choose to Lose book and I'm constantly going…
  • Me too! Since I no longer have to cook for several people, my favorite meal is a bag of frozen veggies and some precooked chicken breast. I'm done in 10 mins tops with no big mess to clean! With cooler weather coming crock pot recipes will be good too!
  • You're welcome! Thank you for adding some great options! Keeping meals interesting is key to sticking with the cycling lifestyle!
  • I just checked the high carb board and it shows you're there. If you can't post I'll delete and re-invite you.
  • I'm thinking leaving the setting at 1200 may be easier for me too since I'll probably forget to change it every day anyway. I'm new to cycling too (dabbled with it here and there for a few weeks before "going live" this week) and I agree the fat thing is HARD! Fat is in almost everything and it adds up quickly! Even the…
  • Congrats SpectacuLaura on the big clothes! (LOL-I don't get to say that very often.) Also congrats on staying with the lifestyle! I totally forgot about the eye makeup remover. Actually thought of it last night when removing mine. Best makeup remover EVER!!! There's a web page called 101 uses for coconut oil or something…
  • Thanks! That's my next task: getting the percentages in order
  • QUESTION: When you are cycling do you change your calories settings in MFP each day? My targets are 1200 or LC days and 1500 on HC days. So far I'm just leaving the MFP settings at the standard 1200 with 40,40,20 settings (protein, carbs, fat). I was just curious if anyone does it differently. I tend to over analyze (and…
