  • LOVED it!! I recently finished the program and have continued to run 3 miles 3x per week. I was training to be able to run the distance for the Warrior Dash. I have now signed up for an official 5K for the 4th of July. I really enjoy running now. I didn't think I would as I was NEVER a runner. It's amazing the results from…

  • I was not a runner and recently finished the C25K program. Like previous posters stated, I think that would be a great way to start out. It conditions your body at a good pace and you can repeat days/weeks if you feel you're still not ready for the next level. I wasn't sure about it, but I have come to really LOVE running!…
  • I don't think you look too skinny. You look healthy & great by the way!
  • Wow! Nice job!!
  • Welcome to the group!! Good luck reaching your mini goal. I'm thinking with Insanity & TF you should be able to do it!! :)
  • Happy Monday!! Did TF Greatest HIITs & a 3 mile run this morning. Hope everyone is doing well!! Have a great day! Anita
  • SW - 134.2 lbs (5/21/11) Week 1 - 133.4 lbs (5/2811); Loss 0.8 lbs Week 2 - 132.6 lbs. (6/6/11); Loss 0.8 lbs Week 3 - 132.6 lbs. (6/13/11); Loss 0 lbs Week 4 - XXX lbs. TOTAL LOST - 1.6 lbs No loss this week. But at least there isn't a gain. I'm probably retaining water from the stuff I ate (and drank) on Saturday…
  • 30 Mins to Fitness workout w/weights (bi's, tri's & shoulders) + TF Upper 20 & Abs 10. Made it a strength day today. Hope everyone's having a great weekend!
  • THANKS!!!
  • I am DONE w/C25K!! Finished W9D3 this morning. Ran 3 miles in 33 & half mins. I will be keeping up w/the running. Hopefully I can improve my speed/time once I become more "seasoned". So happy I stuck w/the program!!!
  • TF Greatest HIITs & LAST DAY of C25K program! Ran 3 miles in 33 & a half mins. I feel good but will do some stretching for my legs. 709 calories gone!!
  • Yes. I lLOVED the program. I was NEVER a runner. It definitely conditioned me in the 9 weeks. I didn't think it'd work but the difference between those first 3-4 weeks til now is amazing. The walking intervals couldn't come fast enough for me when I first started. Now I'm doing the the full 3 miles between 33-35 mins…
  • W9D2 of C25K. Ran 3 miles in a little over 35 mins. Did better on Monday. I'm thinking on my strength days, I may need to go a little easier on the squats and lunges. My hamstrings were still sore, but I pushed through my run.
  • Cookie...depending on the intensity of your workouts, you might need more calories. I had plateaued for like 2 months! I went from 1200 to 1300 with improvement for like a week and just couldn't get past it. I bumped my calories up to 1500 & eat most of my exercise cals back, and the scale is moving again...in the right…

Hmmm...let's see if I can hit a full lb for next week! I seem to be nickel & diming my way down. But at least the scale's moving in the right direction!!
  • W9D1 of C25K is done! I ran the full 3 miles!! I'm so happy I actually made it the entire distance without having to stop!! Never did I think I'd be able to, especially in the 1st couple of weeks of the program when I couldn't wait to get to the walking intervals! My time was 33:17. A little over an 11 min mile. I'll take…
  • I did TF HIIT 20 & W9D1 of C25K. So today I ran the full 3 miles!! I'm so happy I actually made it the entire distance without having to stop!! Never did I think I'd be able to. Especially in the 1st couple of week of the program when it seemed like the walking intervals couldn't come soon enough! I ran it in 33:17. A…
  • Awesome! Good luck! I'm doing the Dash on the 19th! It's my first one as well. Sooo looking forward to it!
  • Week 8 is complete!!! I'm feeling really good. Can't believe next week is the last week of this and I'll be running 3 miles! Talk about having a sense of accomplishment! I remember the 1st few weeks, wasn't sure I'd make it to 3 miles cuz I couldn't wait for the walking intervals, but what a difference. Such an awesome…
  • I just got done with W8D2 about 20 mins ago. I was not a runner at all before the program! It's awesome!! Those first couple weeks, the walking intervals couldn't come soon enough!! Now I'm able to run a full 30+ mins and feel just fine during and after!!! It's a great sense of accomplishment!! Good luck with it!!!

  • W8D2 is in the books! Did 2.8 miles in 31 mins. I think that's pretty good. :) Queta -Iit will get easier as you progress. During those beginning weeks just the 90 secs/2 mins of running felt like forever!! The walking break couldn't come soon enough. Just keep at it and I'm sure you'll be amazed at your progress/results!…
  • How did your run go? I didn't think I'd be able to run 5 mins let alone 30 but I'm doing it. This program is awesome! I was NOT a runner at all. Now, I'm actually enjoying it. You can do it!!
  • Don't consider it failing. 20 mins in 90 degree heat w/high humidity is pretty good. That's rough even for seasoned runners. Not sure if it's an optiion but maybe you could run early in the morning or later in the evening, when it's a bit cooler (assuming you ran in the middle of the day of course). You made it to W7 so…
  • Yesterday was our first day of having 90 degree weather. I got up and ran at 6AM. Sun was out but it wasn't hot yet. It was nice I'd say probably in the low 70s. So I'm thinking it's going to be early morning runs or late evening runs (like your 8pm one) for me on the hot days. I did W8D1 yesterday. Did well. Still feeling…
  • SW - 134.2 lbs (5/21/11) Week 1 - 133.4 lbs (5/2811); Loss 0.8 lbs Week 2 - XXX lbs. Week 3 - XXX lbs. Week 4 - XXX lbs. TOTAL LOST - 0.8 lbs. I was down more earlier in the week. Kind of been splurging over the weekend. A cookout today then back on track tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be down again for next week's weigh in!
  • W7D3 is complete. Felt pretty good. Started off a little slow since my legs were still a little sore from Wed's run. But I still got the 2.6 miles done in 29:20. Was at 29:00 exact on Wed. Not bad. Happy that's done. Now my legs can recover from this week's runs for a couple days. Already clocked a route for week 8 which…
  • Slept through my alarm yesterday so missed a workout...OOPS! However, I did get up today and did TF Upper 20 & Fire 30. Supposed to do a 2.5 mile run today for my C25K so hopefully, I'll get that in as well. I may save it for tomorrow. Not sure yet. We'll see how the legs feel later. They're still a little sore from my run…
  • Nice! Thanks for taking on the responsibility for tracking Pam! You rock!
  • W7D2 is done! I thought I was going to have to run on the treadmill as this morning it was thunderstorming out here. But the weather got better for most of the afternoon, so I was able to run outside. I clocked a new route at 2.6 miles (just a little over the 2.5 miles required for W7). I ran the 2.6 miles in 29 mins. Not…
