^^^ Great Post It's crazy how people over-estimates calories burn. Lyle McDonald Article: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/exercise-and-weightfat-loss-part-1.html For most of us, we are going to lose around 5 calories per minute of excercise (300/hour).

12.5% is extremely lean for a female. I suspect that maybe your measurements are off a little. A female will most likely have a very hard time maintaing 12.5% body fat for more than a few weeks. Here are some examples of what various bf% look on a female: http://www.leighpeele.com/body-fat-pictures-and-percentages The…

For me it's a IIFYM deal. Had sushi for lunch today and ate too much rice. I ended up really short on my protein intake. I like rice but, because I try to limit my carbs,I would rather have Ice Cream instead of rice for my Carbs allowance.

Here are some possible factors to the plateau: 1. If you just started strength training you may be gaining lean body mass. Especially since you are doing Squats (Which is the best excersice of them all). Taking measurement of your body will be a better gauge of "fat loss" then the scale in this case. A rough estimate is…

2 weeks is a little short to be calling it a plateau. You have to realize that the 14lbs you lost in 4 weeks is not a sustainable rate. A more realistic rate once the "beginner weight" wears off is around 1/2 pound to 1 pound a week. But, more information is needed. Opening your diary would help. Do you measure / weigh the…

This is true for me too. I usually don't have my 1st meal till around 1:00 pm. Not eating breakfest make appetite control 10x easier for me (Individual experience varies of course). If you are one of those "hate breakfest" type of person, go with the flow of your body and don't eat breakfest. Contrary to outdated…

I usually borrow calorie credits and hope I can pay them back later in the week.

IIFYM (If it fit your macro) it doesn't matter when you eat. ^^^^^^^ This is also not true. You can have one gigantic meal each day and that would be OK.

ROFL, that's good *kitten*

Sorry brah but Muscle & Fitness has as much crediblity as the National Enquire. You seriously need to stop reading this magazine. They are in the bussiness to sell you supplements. They don't want the public to know that 95% of supplements out there are a waste of money. They are just going to find people to write about…

Would help if you open up your diary for public viewing. Upping your protein may help (got to see your diary though). As suggested by some, eat less calories during the morning a save them for later on. Skipping breakfast is actually sound advice.

This was pretty much the universal opinion of 99% of the fitness expert 10 years ago. New studies pretty much have debunked these myths. A lot of these "old school" fitness expert had to just swallow their pride and move on. These expert are now giving sound advice. Those that are too proud to admit that the old way of…

Looks like you are doing great. Don't worry about the fluctuation in weight. It is SUPPOSE to be that way. Try this for an experiment: Weigh yourself than drink 2 glass of water. You will gain 1lb of weight. Use the bathroom a couple times later and you will lose that pound. A lot of people will tell you not to be obsess…

I've pretty much tried every Fat Burning Supplement out there. CLA didn't do crap for me. The only thing that I consider very effective was the ECA stack of old (Ephedra , Caffeine, Aspirin). I say old because the new type of Ephedra (Mormon Team) is just crap. I don't think there is a fat burning supplement that is worth…

If you use the curry powder you got basically zero calories. If you make the Thai curry with coconut milk you are looking at over 500 calories per cup of sauce. You got to be more specific.

When I'm felling down, I just add exercise that I didn't even do. It's a great way to make me feel better about myself. I am not about to let a MFP Nazi tell me what I can and can't log.

Good Job. Eating a pizza is perfectly OK. If you had a deficit in calories, YOU DID LOSE WEIGHT. You have to account for water weight that can vary up/down a few pounds. If you were to drink 2 cups of water right now, you will gain 1lbs on the scale instantly. Just learn to trust the system: As long as you have a deficit,…
