I love all body simple workouts that can be done at home! Been doing them for years although I like the gym too. I belong to a group of ladies who post them daily in a free private group. I can't post them here but it looks like you have enough in the comments thus far which I think are all great too! Have fun.

Super cute video!!!

There are so many myths about rest days and "requirements". If you FEEL FINE, and are not overly fatigued (it sometimes feels achy or flu like) then there is no reason to take a rest day. It sounds like you have built endurance for it, and vary it up enough that you can keep going. Let your body be the guide rather than…

The process is working. The scale is such a poor tool! It measures your body weight not your body fat, your body is mostly water. This is a lifestyle, keep your focus on the process and the results will come into place automatically. Someday you WILL reach your goal and you will maintain and none of this excitement of…

Unless meat/poultry/fish actually give you problems there is no reason to cut them out. Humans need the complete protein in these foods. You will feel better overall if you include protein, especially if you exercise. Even vegan athletes have to make an extra effort to focus on protein and it's not easy for vegans. Why…

I like a good protein isolate mixed in, 100 caloires, 20 grams of protein, caramel latte. Yum!

I love apple cider vinegar to add flavor to recipes and it gives you all the same benefits it always has. People have this whole thing all backwards - Eating crap HINDERS fat loss, having bad intestinal flora HINDERS fat loss, having unhealthy ailments like candida and too much sugar all the time HINDERS fat loss. So of…

5' nothing and lost 85 pounds, I'm maxed out on friends but I want to encourage you that you can do it too! It is a bit slower for us short ladies as 1 pound is a greater percentage of body, so be patient and don't compare the rate of change with others. Also, be consistent and as accurate as possible with your calorie…

A pretty good chart right here at the top of the internet search for "paleo diet carbs". Why not try an internet search? http://balancedbites.com/paleo-diet-carbs/

A quick internet search for "paleo vegetables" if that is what you wanted. Tons of info. I'm so happy to be free of these types of restrictions though. I love those foods, but I also love my pasta and sour dough french bread and I love all the gluten free grains, and vegan foods, and meats, and everything!! I lose and gain…

Nothing to stress about. Anything under your maintenance is a deficit for fat loss, I think for MFP that is your TDEE? There is no magic number, but certainly your maintenance/TDEE is what you want to focus on (or anything under for fat loss over time) rather than beating up yourself for eating little bits of food you were…

Depending on your height anyone can lose weight on 1200... keeping it off is another story. If you are tired of the diet yo-yo the only thing that works is slightly under your maintenance over time, a balanced diet, consistency. Not very exciting I know, but there are no short cuts. Amount of food controls body fat.…

Everything is estimates. But if you feel like calibrating go ahead, or some weigh some water or whatever. Weighing does help you with accuracy even though everything is an estimate. Good job even getting a food scale!!!!

There is no spot reducing. Exercise BUILDS lean body mass, the calorie deficit reduces body fat. For us females that lower body area is the last to go and the first to come up when you start putting body fat back on. There is no changing that, if you want to lose that last bit of fat - it's the calorie deficit. You already…

That is why I hate the term cheat meal. If you are trying to lose weight and eating most days at a deficit that is "corrective action" to fix a health problem, like medicine, not normal eating, but everyone treats it like it's normal and then call the normal day one day a week a cheat day or meal. That is backwards. The…
-
What everyone else said, sometimes it's not enough nutrients, or protein, or healthy carbs or fats. Sometimes it's not enough calories. Sometimes we focus too hard on the low deficit instead of realize that some days every week up to normal maintenance is best and will actually keep your hunger hormones more stable, as…

Total eye opener. I highly recommend doing it for this very reason. Good for you for taking the time, so many say they don't have time but you will be a winner for doing it.

This is why I don't look at exercise burn, it's a distraction. Focus on just a little under maintenance for fat loss. Focus on workouts to build lean body mass for health and for a pretty body when the fat is gone. Simple. We all have to tune out the distractions that don't really get us anywhere.

I like to heat up crock pot chicken in some broth, and add some avocado and spices. Even a few steamed veggies in the mix is nice and comforting.

Awesome job and this is the truth. It's funny how for us females the guys are supportive but the ladies are not. It is how it goes for many of us. And yes, we can do this at any age for sure, the fountain of youth, turning the clock back, and quality of life. And as we age the more we know that quality of life and health…

Actually every little bit adds up for fat burning; The calorie deficit the most, even if we don't count exercise burn there is a slight edge with all exercise - lifting, HIIT cardio, and lighter steady state cardio even for 30 minutes. It's the too much intense cardio that hinders fat loss, mainly because it stresses out…

We all have to tune out others stories and not compare. The rate of change is different for all of us. I'm 5ft nothing and it took me 3 years to lose 85 pounds, that is a huge amount of time with nothing, and other times with sudden random "whooshes". Some of that is due to the body being mostly water so the scale is not a…

Coconut oil is good for you. Good healthy ingredients do help with fat loss, but it still has to be a calorie deficit overall. It's the food additives, added sugars, etc that HINDER fat loss - so things like coconut oil, lemon, bananas, green veggies, probiotics, pickles, raw apple cider vinegar, etc are what get your…

Try it for 6 weeks with accurate accounting of food. If you don't lose fat then you have your answer, if you lose fat then you have your answer. The answer is not always in the body weight scale because your body is mostly water. Your body has the answer. If you don't lose fat then it's not a deficit, so notch it down…

If you want to know your body fat VS LBM Lean Body Mass you can get a hydrostatic body fat test or the gold standard DXA/DEXA scan. A skinny fat person would be a smallish/skinnyish person with not very much LBM and plenty of body fat, rather subjective without the data.
-
In your diary is the option to "add exercise", do you see it? If you are in a web version it's inenu up at the top called exercise.
-
Not likely that the 20 pounds is muscle. The best test is a hydrostatic body fat test to determine your LBM Lean Body Mass vs fat mass. Your strategy was perfect, the only thing missing is the amount of calories per day on average over time. For fat loss it always comes down to the calorie deficit over time. Fat gain means…

We all gain it back if we lose the awareness of food. You need protein, fat, carbs, fiber, and nutrients to feel best especially on a deficit, oh it certainly does not have to be raw veggies!! lol Focus on foods you LIKE as that is the only way it is sustainable. I'm not perfect with my diet but I've lost 85 pounds and…

The highest protein foods in the least calories are these (highest protein/calorie ratio): Egg whites, white fish, protein powder isolate, bone broth, lean chicken/turkey/pork, then fat free greek yogurt and then cottage cheese. The ratio drops off dramatically after that. Other foods have protein for sure, but the ratio…

I have personally proved for my own self that you can BUILD muscle and build strength at a deficit, not too low, but yes. The best way to prove it is with a DXA/DEXA scan, then you can believe real data and not everyone's opinions and based on looking in the mirror, etc. Otherwise it's way too subjective. And even in my…
