  • I'd love to get in on this! Hope I'm not too late! I'll add all my info and just let me know if you need any other info. I weigh in every morning but do a more official weigh-in every Monday morning. Female, 26 years old Height: 5'2"-5'3" SW: 200 Re-Start Weight: 188.75 (08/22/11) CW: 183.25 (08/29/11) GW1: 165 (10/31/11)…

  • I'd love to lose 2lbs/wk. I know that as I lose more weight, the expectation of 2 lbs. a week might get to be a bit high but I think it's reasonable for right now. I didn't hide my diet profile...do you have to manually un-hide it or something if you want it to show?
  • sugarbone - I edited the post I made right before you replied. If you don't mind, check out the new info and help me figure it out. Thanks for being so helpful!
  • My BMR is 1,548, according to the tool calculator. If I only eat MFP's recommended 1,200 calories a day, I'm still burning 348 calories just by merely existing. Is that how it's supposed to be? However, my "diet profile" lists my BMR as 1,940. Why are these numbers different? :explode:
  • WAIT, you mean I have to do this by eating HEALTHY foods? Seriously, though, thanks for the support, advice, and explanation of what BMR means. While I have your attention, what is a "bump"?
  • Okay, I checked and MFP recommends 1,200 calories and 40 fat grams for me. Also, I don't know what BMR stands for. :blushing:
  • I have quite a ways to go to get to my goal weight but I have always Always ALWAYS wanted to go to Las Vegas. I'd love to plan a trip there, complete with a whole new wardrobe! I may walk the Vegas strip in nothing but heels and a bikini...although, it IS Vegas...people probably wouldn't even notice. For my in…
  • Thanks, it's supposedly going to get pretty crazy here in western Massachusetts, but not as bad as on the coast.
  • Here in Western Massachusetts the governor has declared it a state of emergency and urged people to stay off the roads. The electric company and the town manager keep leaving messages on our answering machines telling us to be prepared, stay inside, etc. It's rained a bit and I can hear some wind but it's not really…
  • "I Like It" - Enrique Iglesias f. Pitbull "I Wanna Go" - Britney Spears "Shipping Up to Boston" - Dropkick Murphys Wow, I sound like a teeny bopper...
  • Seriously, this waiting game is annoying. It's like we're under complete lockdown here in Western Massachusetts because the governor declared us a state of emergency and told everyone to stay off the roads. I should really do an exercise DVD before the power goes out (at least, the meteorologists are having a field day…
  • I have the SAME problem! Glad it's not just me. I'm looking forward to seeing the responses to this post!
  • Hi! Good luck with your exercises tonight! This is a great website and a great community. Feel free to add me as a friend!
  • Welcome and good luck! Feel free to add me as a friend and congrats on your decision to start a new, healthier lifestyle!
  • Mine's on the front of my right hip. Didn't hurt AT ALL. I was able to carry on a conversation through the whole thing and didn't once grit my teeth or cry out in pain. I am terrified of needles (don't ask how or why I decided to get a tattoo when I have that kind of fear, I have no clue!) but the tattoo was seriously no…
  • You look absolutely stunning! And those shoes in your "before" picture are killer awesome!
  • @Jazzy020106 - There is NOTHING better than putting on a shirt that usually hugs your belly and finding it to be loose. NOTHING BETTER. Nice job! What does PCOS stand for, btw? Hope everyone is doing well today, my head feels better although the meds are still making me a little looped out. I'm frustrated because I gained…
  • I didn't forget about checking in with you guys! I had a particularly unfortunate low point tonight when I ended up in the Emergency Room with a severe migraine, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and sensitivity to light and I sound. I got there at 7 pm and just arrived home at 2 am. It was a looooong night. But…
  • So excited to hear from you all! I'm on my way to yoga and accupuncture (my most recent endeavors to try and kick these migraines) but I'll write more when I get back. I don't know a lot about PCOS but it definitely sounds like it falls under the category of chronic illness. I'm not too hung up on labels. If you feel you…
  • Alright, I'm just jumping right in. I apparently joined MFP last August (2010) and then didn't do anything with it. I decided at the beginning of this week that I was going to make some changes and I re-discovered the iPhone app. When I keyed in my starting weight of 188.75 lbs, it informed me that I weighed 200 lbs at my…
  • OMG, you look FANTASTIC! I'm encouraged so much by looking at your pics. Thanks for posting!
  • Alright, from the looks of things, you just joined here in August 2011. You're going to slip, you're going to make mistakes, and you're going to have days where you just don't give a crap. But you *did* exercise, even if it was only a miniscule amount. There are people in my house who did not get off the couch today. And…
  • I am so psyched for you! (Though super-jealous of your no longer double chin!)

  • My excuses have been plentiful: the chronic, frequent, and debilitating migraines. It's too hot. It's too expensive. I have no one to go with. I'll just end up quitting in a week anyway. I just ate. I'm exhausted. Today, there was no excuse. I got up, grabbed my iPod, and hit the gym. Hopefully, the motivation is still…
  • I'm 26 and a preschool teacher and have 75 lbs. to go before I hit my goal weight. I love weight-loss buddies, especially fellow teachers, so feel free to message me any old time! :flowerforyou:
  • Add me, I'd LOVE a buddy!
  • Thanks everyone! I guess I'll put my own list on here as well in case anybody else needs inspiration or wants to mix it up (generally I do cardio on the treadmill and I've included a few slower songs that work well for warm-ups and cool-downs): I Like It - Enrique Iglesias f. Pit Bull I Wanna Go - Britney Spears I'm On A…
  • Huge difference! You are looking fantastic! Keep up the good work!
