I can relate! I just turned 50 and heavier than ever even after having my three children. Have three teenagers who like to eat but I'm making them and my husband go on this journey with me. I try to overlook the sugar I get from fruit and just try to stay within the number for refined sugar or sugar snacks. Not sure if that is the right way, but in Weight Watchers you don't have to count fruit or vegetables so I just sort of go by that. Hope that helps.

Hi! 1963 and just turned 50 the last week of December. I also decided it is time to get healthy. My kids are 18 and 15 and I would like to be around to be a fun Grandma! Do you have suggestions of what to do for a beginner? I belong to a gym and go to the weight machines and really have no idea what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful such as if there are certain rountines that work better or weights that are better, etc. Thanks and congratuations on all your hard work!

I've done WW several times and liked it. This time I lost 17 pounds on WW but felt in a rut after 10 months. A friend told me about this site. I have discontinued my WW membership.
