  • Same boat here... I work a desk job in an office and I wasn't as active as I like. That changed 57 days ago when I joined MFP. For 57 days, I've been logging all of my food and exercise. My exercise has increased dramatically and my calories have decreased. The result has been a 25 pound drop. I always could use more…
  • I speak from experience when I say this... You're young and you have a lot of living to do! Life is so much easier when you are healthy and in shape. I have struggled with my weight most of my life and I think of the things I have missed out on... going on roller coaster rides with my daughter! dancing with my wife!!…
  • All I can say is "WOW!!!" Way to go! Both before and after, you're beautiful!!!
  • Congratulations on taking the first step! Today is Day 54 for me on MFP and I have had phenomenal success with it. I have dropped 25 pounds in 54 days. I know I won't continue at this pace, but it's a start and I'm 25 pounds closer to my goal than I was 54 days ago. I have a lot of supportive friends on MFP. Surround…
  • I turn 41 in November and can definitely relate. As I have gotten older, my physical activity has gotten less and less. Eight weeks ago, I decided to make a lifestyle change. With the help of MFP, I have dropped 25 pounds in those 8 weeks. I still have a long way to go, but I will get there with the help of MFP and my…
  • Hi Kourtney - I definitely understand your struggle with weight loss and I'm an example of what can happen if it gets out of control. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. When I was in high school and college, sports helped me keep it somewhat under control. When I got out of college, I blew out my left knee…
  • Log all your food in and you will really see where your calories are coming from. Like the other posts said, a piece of pizza won't kill your day. When it comes to sub sandwiches, leave off the mayo and oil and you'll have a nutritious sandwich. As you log your food, you'll see your food choices improve. Good luck!!!
  • This is my go to fast food meal! It is delicious and filling!
  • I'm looking for as many supportive friends as I can get on here! Please feel free to send me a friend request. I am on MFP throughout the day and I'm very supportive of my friends. Anybody that see's this message, please feel free to friend request me. Thanks!
  • I'm from Charlotte, NC. I'm always looking for supportive friends so feel free to send me a friend request if you'd like.
  • Feel free to send a friend request my way. The "inappropriate people" are my kind of people!
  • This is an awesome post! Congratulations!!! Your post has given me some more motivation. Keep up the great work!
  • ^ Yeah, this!!! Definitely this!!!
  • KCCO my fellow MFP'ers!!! Love the Chive!!! Feel free to send me a FR if you are a fellow Chiver!

  • I'll agree that EpiCenter is a great place with a lot of clubs located within walking distance from there. Whiskey River, Suite, Butter... etc. If you like 80's music, The Breakfast Club in Uptown is also a good bet.
  • I'm originally from Upstate New York. I've been a Rangers fan since I was a kid. Let's go RANGERS!!! Bring on Game 7 at The Garden!!!
  • It figures I missed out on a good thread... Can somebody fill me in on what I missed??? Please!!!
  • Just buy a bottle or container similar to a shampoo bottle and fill it with liquid soap. This will keep things from getting "slimmy" in your bag. Also, I am a member at Planet Fitness. They provide soap in a dispenser in the showers. It doesn't smell the greatest, but it is fine for washing off before heading back to work.
  • Mine came from a woman that I was dating (and she was also a co-worker). At the time, I thought she was absolutely gorgeous (even though she was 47 and I was 32)! She was a size 0-2 and I was working my butt off to get into better shape. I had lost about 60 pounds in 6 months. I took her and her kids to the beach for a…
  • I'm going to go a different direction than anybody else so far... Sometimes I tell my wife I'm going to work and I will get up, shower, dress, and leave like I'm going to work. I go to Starbucks and get a cup of coffee and wait for her to go to work. Then I go back to the house and work on projects that I need to get done…
  • The first "moderator of boobs" has been assigned to a new position... I will be taking over the position of "moderator of boobs" from here out... Please keep an eye out for a memo from me regarding increasing the number of boob pics on MFP!!! In the meantime, I'll be making sure all pics are suitable! :noway:

  • Funny story... I got ready for work in a hurry this morning. I threw my stuff in my gym bag and was out the door. I went to the gym after my morning meetings and before my afternoon meetings started. I finished my workout and got out of the shower and realized I forgot to pack my boxer briefs in my gym bag. Now I'm…
  • I have horrible knees (three knee surgeries by age 35). I suffer from the same thing... I put on weight and became very sedintary because it hurt to move. I had to work through some of the pain and build my leg muscles back up again. I do the elliptical for about 15 minutes and then a 30 minute stationary bike hill ride. I…
