During the work week it is workout on empty stomach. I am up at 350, out the door by 400 and at work by 5ish. I hit the gym. Normally I do 30-40 minutes on stationary bike, then M-W-F it is a power walk (cant run due to injury) and T-Th it is a core workout/full body workout, usually done at high pace. Walks are 30-50…

I do this too. I either plan ahead and do an extra workout to get a treat, or if I do a treat and go over my calories I will do an extra workout at night. I have managed to fit in several Shamrock shakes and I continue to lose, just check the ticker. I REFUSE to give up anything that might be considered unhealthy. I have…

Thanks for all the input. If I can not do it, its not a big deal. I am making great progress with my current plan. I was just looking to change things up a little. So I make look else where to find a workout to help give my exercise so variety! Thanks again for all the input. I love this site!

ZERO! Elbow injury makes them impossible. Used to be able to do about 10-12 over hand. Did not do the others.

I would recommend different shoes for lift and cardio exercises. If you are lifing the extra weight, even just carrying the wights to and from the rack, can crush the support so that the shoes are not as supportive if you go running. As far as shoes for cardio, make sure you get ones that are correct for your feet and make…

I have some of the C9 stuff from target and it works great. I am sure the UA stuff is great too. I have some UA stuff, but not the cold gear. Best of luck!

1. HRM 2. Good Shoes 3. Bowflex Treadclimber (I have lost enough so I no longer feel the need for a mansier or a sports bro)

Maybe losing connection was not the correct wording, but seems to be not registering all the beats. I dont think it is recovery or the Heart rate would not jump up 40-50 beats just by standing up or even moving from the back to a push up position. No one else in group using HRM.

I have it about a month. I did try tightening, but next time I will tighten even more! Thanks for the input!!!!!

I am trying to talk the wife into doing the one in Baltimore later this year. I dont run much becasue of an ankle injury and she does not have an ACL in one knee, but I figure a slight jog from zombies will be fun. I also think the stories with friends afterwards will be worth it!
-
I wish I could do that, but I am sure I would run into some Sergeant Major who would give me grief about it. I cant wait to retire and not have to worry about it.

Does my wife being on here count?

Rocking the Red!!!! Go CAPS!!!!!!!!

The gym at work and the treadclimber at home.

Act of Valor - based on the movie about Navy SEALs

Joked with wife I should wear HRM to see how many calories I burn! She laughed. It might depend on the session. Can you earn a whole nother meal or just a handful of popcorn? LOL
-
I will only deal with best cardio machine. I love my bowflex treadclimber. It gets my heart rate going quickly, it gets me sweating profusely and according to my HRM I can burn a lot more calories in a shorter period of time then any of the other cardio exercises I do.

Now thats funny!!!

If it is "common knowledge" how come most of us here think that your statement is BS? Yes, one should always move as much as possible, including cardio training. I think the way you worded your initial post is what has most of us thinking that you dont really know what you are talking about.

Well, I never heard that clear meant youve had too much. In the Army we always try to be peeing clear so that we dont dehydrate. I drink a lot of water, but I work out so hard in AM that I dont pee again until after lunch usually, then it regular trips back and forth. A lot of the time I make the trip to the far side of…

Usually after, unless it is something that is already on my list that I have used. If its new, after, sometimes while eating I will look it up on phone.

Staff Sergeant. US ARMY. HOOAH!!!
-
I am the same except I wear "poor mans undersarmor" from Target or Wal Mart. Some times I wear wrist Sweat Bands to limit the drippage on the Elliptical!!!
-
Bowflex treadclimber. Best of both worlds! It really is a but kicker! I was doing an hour on an elliptical with the resistance in the mid range, but was only able to do about 20 min on the treadclimber. I burn more calories in less time too!

[ What about a blond Christina Hendricks? [/quote] Oh YEAH!

I enter mine waist and neck every two weeks. The Army uses those numbers to calculate bodyfat percentage. Since I came in over weight and bodyfat a few months ago I have to get measured all the time to see how I am doing. It was the people who do this that turned me on to MFP.

Go up to a random person in the street and tell them that Cornflakes has a GI index of 82 and dark choclate has a GI index of 22 (Ranking it below chick peas, kidney beans and lentils) youll get laughed at. I sure most random people on the street wont know what GI Index is!

Due to an injury I dont do much running. I can not do it for our Physical Fitness test! I walk pretty fast (on 2.5 mile walk for physical fitness test I complete in about 30min.). I am hoping to start doing some light running soon. Wife and I want to do the Zombie run in Baltimore!

I have two friends. My wife and a friend who saw this on my FaceBook page and joined. I have received one friend request and have not accepted or denied yet. That was from someone whose husband is in the military like me. I did not get on here to have it be another facebook.
