Sea Salt has a lower sodium content and tastes good. I only add it to recipes and log it. I use Mrs. Dash seasoning blends and they add tons of flavor. My favorites are: Italian Medley, Grilling Chicken Blend, and Southwest Chipoltle. All of them are fantastic. We don't miss salt with these seasonings.

Boar's Head makes Low Sodium Lacey Swiss and Low Sodium Provolone - both are good and can be found in most deli counters. Boar's Head also makes No Salt Added Turkey - which is bland but can be easily doctored with some mustard, honey mustard, salsa, or hummus.

I only do it if I'm cooking a feast (entertaining) or preparing meals for a week ahead. For my everyday normal family meals - I don't. But when you are cooking for a crowd, it can be a lot of work. I've spend many of days shopping, and preparing meals and cleaning up my messes. It is definitely work...

I eat sauteed asparagus in the morning with a serving of cottage cheese. Also, I love beets and cottage cheese, with some Heart Smart Crackers by Kashi. Another thing I enjoy is sauteed zuchinni, mushrooms, onions and peppers on a low carb multi-grain wrap (ie. Tumaros) with some parmesan cheese. A toasted 100 calorie…

Start experimenting with recipes. My husband didn't love veggies until he ate them prepared with lots of flavor. Cauliflower steamed is kinda bland and boring. But roasted for 20 minutes at 400 degrees with a little olive oil, salt and pepper, and finished with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice it is fantastic. Roasting most…

My elliptical has a HRM and calculates my calories burned. It is usually 1/2 of what MFP estimates. I use the calculation from my machine, obviously... I also believe MFP inflates the burn. You can check other sites though to get an average. Or, better yet invest in a HRM.

the fiber setting on MFP are too low. The RDA of fiber is actually between 25 and 30 grams for adults. Don't know why it is set so low for MFP. Also, according to everyone the protein allowance is also low on here. I go over on both daily and I've been losing steady. Down 15 pounds in 50 days.

A tablespoon of healthy peanut butter or cream cheese on a stalk of celery is enough to help me. Or, I drink a glass of milk. I usually save some calories for night because it happens to me often. If you are running low on calories - cucumbers are very low in calories and can be filling. Maybe try cucumbers with some…

You look fabulous!!! Younger and you have a really cute body now:) You shoud be proud. I'm thinking by your goal weight you'll look and feel like a new person. Thanks for sharing.

I'm over on my sugar everyday too. I'm also way over on protein and fiber. I actually bumped up my fiber because MFP's allowance for fiber is too low.

I made homemade pizza bagels tonight - they were AWESOME and calorie budget friendly... 1 Thomas' mini bagel - plain - lightly toasted = 120 calories 1/4 cup of Prego - Light Traditional - warmed in microwave for about 30 seconds = 25 calories .5 (half an ounce) of Boar's Head Low Sodium Lacey Swiss (about 3/4 of a thin…

In order to be successful you need to plan meals and keep track of what you are eating. You are taking control, not getting lost in mindless eating. The conditioning of your mind will allow your body to get fit. It is definitely work, but it gets easier as you do it. I try to log my meals in early in the day so I have a…

You should have your thyroid checked. It may be overactive. Normal resting heart rate should be between 50's and 70's.

A cup or a half cup of lowfat milk usually does it for me - but that can be calorie steep. You could also try to munch on some cucumbers, peppers, celery, brocolli, or asparagus - all are filling and barely have any calories. I would stay away from baby carrots, fruit, and breads as the sugar/carbs can make you feel hungry…

Coffee w/cream (I love Starbuck's Decaf Americano), dark chocolate, and peppermint gum.

I'm 5' 6" and 161 - I'm in a 10' and they are very comfortable - no pinching or muffin tops.

I've already lost 15 and another 15 would have me in a nice healthy range... I've only been doing this since 2/1/12 - and have found that as long as I'm staying in my calorie range I've been consistently losing. I've been averaging 1 or 2 pounds every week. I'm still amazed at how easy this has been so far. Guess it will…

I'm sorry your friends are being inconsiderate. In time they too will understand what it is like to struggle with something in life. I agree that they could be jealous of your dedication and trying to test your resolve. You continue what you are doing for yourself. You are doing the right thing by caring for your body. I…

I also did WW. I found that I was always hungry, but now realize that I wasn't eating the right foods. I love the ability to check out other's diaries and see what is working for them. I love reading the posts and I love that I don't have to leave home to learn. I can do it when it suits me. My friends have been wonderful…

Yeah.... Congrats on being "healthy" I've been thinking about trying mine on, but I want to wait to shed a few more pounds. I got married over 9+ years ago. I'm hoping that when I put it on it is too big though:)

I agree you are doing great. If you keep losing at this rate, you will reach your goal in less than a year. This is a journey. Be patient. As long as the scale keeps going down, you are on the right track.

Semi sweet chips. Eat a few. It takes the edge off.

Italian Wedding means dancing. You should be able to burn off plenty of calories if you commit to kicking off your shoes and joining the celebration... Enjoy the food, making sure you eat the salad and soup... Then just "taste" everything else. You will be fine. I would be careful with the drinks. Plenty of water... Even…

each day is a new opportunity to improve. Don't beat yourself up. Get moving and burn some of those calories. Dance, ride a bike, take a walk, do some yoga, or clean your house... You can have a bad day now and then, just try to make it up by working extra hard to stay in your goals the next few days and maybe not eat back…
