1. If someone's skinny, that doesn't mean they know more about nutrition than an overweight person. Their advice is not necessarily better just because they look different (this one's logical, but I seldom considered it) 2. Same for personal trainers. Not everyone though 3. It can be way easier than people make it seem to…

Small recap: Make sure you are good and drunk before a job interview, hide the breath with some good old MD mouthwash, step on the cat on your way out, for good luck. If you've used acid on your tongue and it stings now, just dip it into your potential employer's water glass. This is sign language for "team player".…

That's because you're not using them where you should. (We all put them on the bars at the gym for a better grip) Bwahahah

Thanks, I guess :) The secret is to blow air into your belly button, twice a day.

If your peanut butter separates, just add some laundry detergent to it. It will act as an emulsifier and turn your pb into a smooth yummy paste. The one with little colored bits is even better - tastes like sprinkles.

I make my food from scratch too, and you're right - it is difficult to log everythijg in. I basically give myself too choices: either I make food in large batches and log it in with the recipe builder, or try to use as few ingredients as possible. But if you don't usually follow recipes then you don't often make the same…

Bread. If I don't die by natural causes, suspect the bread, hahaha :) Seriously. Once I get a bite of that goodness, I WILL stuff myself.

The best is anything that works for you. Sounds like a generalization, but the truth is, I could tell you "this" program is the greatest. How do you know that's true, until you've tried them all? And the paradox is that the more you try, you advance and you're not a beginner anymore. So we will never find out what the…

I have always been overweight. In 2006, at 250 lbs, I stepped inside a gym for the first time, only to leave a month later, feeling humiliated and with absolutely no weight lost ( long story). But I had so many questions: why 20 reps of everything? Why wasn't I losing any weight even while working out for 4 hours a day?…

Wow, I didn't expect any replies. You guys are awesome!

It's just like driving a car on the highway for the first time and being scared that accidentally your hands will slip on the steering wheel and you'll go crashing into the side rail -> you have the control to do it or not. It won't happen by chance. You will not give up, unless you want to.

Well - if it doesn't work, try something else :) What's your diet / training like? What's your current weight and how much more are you still looking to lose? Any health issues?

Welcome to the club. I mix that up with social anxiety and get a pretty cool smoothie.

Agreed about the plum brandy, and I love sour cherries and visinata. You'd be off with guessing the region :) I'm more in the piperchi / cheese pie / fish / baclava area.

The only thing that's worse than the scale for me is the scale with BIA. I can weigh the same on two consecutive dates and have it show as much as 7% difference in BF. Or maybe it's just my scale that's messed up...

If you're afraid of how people perceive you, as I was, no amount of pep talk or motivational speeches can get you to disregard that feeling. I felt slim enough to go to the gym when I realized that an overweight person not working out would have a far bigger "jury" than the one who does something for him/herself. (might…

I don't have much experience with the program either, but I do believe you should take the amount of calories given as an estimate. The number varies from person to person. There is one simple rule to weight loss: burn more calories than you eat. With that being said, let's suppose that 738 cals burned is accurate. Now if…
