This sounds so familiar! Like reading my life story. It helps SOOOO much knowing there are others on here having the same problems. Let's use this as motivation to kick even more *kitten* than usual! We can do this ladies. Let's make this week really count! Goals: 1) Work out at *least* 4 times this week (2 days circuit…

You look fabulous lady! Congrats!!!

After last week, this is exactly what I need. My school and work schedule changed drastically last week, throwing a big ol' wrench in my spokes. I'm simply going to look at it as a challenge that I can feel awesome about overcoming! I'll need all the support I can get. (Pursuing a Culinary Arts degree is NOT conducive to a…

I haven't been keeping up with this thread, shame on me! Anywhoo, I've lost 2.1 lbs! On my way :)

I am NOT - I repeat, ***NOT*** a morning person. I can easily hit the snooze button for 2 hours if someone allows me. But, I'll say that it feels *great* once I'm up, have gotten in a 30 minute exercise, and had breakfast. It makes the whole day better. And then I don't feel so guilty if I don't have time to get to the gym…

Congrats! That's fantastic! MFP really is amazing. I never understood the appeal of online/community/weight loss stuff, until I joined here. When people ask how I've been losing the weight, I tell them "Exercise, eating healthy, and MyFitnessPal." I'm totally obsessed. :)

Oh my goodness, I tried this for breakfast today - it was DELICIOUS! And super filling! Almost four hours later and I'm STILL full (well, I've had coffee and 3 glasses of water too, but STILL!)!!!!! Thanks so much for the tip/recipe!!!

I'm so excited to be a part of this challenge! 20lbs by XMas is totally doable - 2lbs a week? I'm all over it. Starting C25K tomorrow too, it should be the kickstart I need to achieve this goal. Good luck everyone!

I'd like to start taking vitamins. I'm lactose-intolerant, so definitely not getting the needed amount as calcium. Also know I need to, with the new calorie-intake and workouts. However, I simply can't take pills *multiple times* a day. And it seemed that most recommended instructions for vitamins are 2-3 times daily. My…

Oh my goodness, I almost died and went to heaven when I came across skinnytaste.com and saw all the low-cal, health-friendly pumpkin recipes! I swear, that woman is a God-send.

I find that it helps to think of this less as "dieting" and more as "life-style change." At first, I had a hard time buying into that mindset. But I've found that the longer I keep at it, the easier it becomes. Making the right decisions eventually becomes the new norm. Keep at it, it WILL get easier :)

Cooking up a lot of chicken with different spices on Sunday nights really helps cut down the prep time during the week. Devoting about 30-60 minutes on Sunday to plan the week's meals and make a grocery list according to that meal plan can also reduce the time spent on thinking/worrying about what's for lunch/dinner. There…

stephanie8383: That's a great goal! The small, mini-goals seems to be the key to reaching whatever magic number is awaiting each of us at the other side of this. Good luck this month and we're all rooting for you!

When I was working in an office cubicle, my favorite breakfast was what I called "Mexican Shepard's Pie" - 1/4 cup egg substitute w/ tbsp shredded cheddar cheese and 2 tbsp black beans (cooked in a microwave-safe container) Added salsa and then instant grits on top (like the mashed potatoes in shepard's pie!) It's super…
