This question comes up 10x a day on this site, so instead of just a generic answer, follow this link and decide for yourself how to deal with your situation. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/10589-for-those-confused-or-questioning-eating-your-exercise-calo

that's a tough one....I would say it's bigger than a 1/3 cup but less than 1/2 cup if that helps.

That's about what I burn in an hour cycle class with vigorous effort.

You will have to do some research on your climate type and what grows best in your area. I use the Sunset Garden book for my area. Here is a link where you can look up your climate region, then search veggies that will grow there (and importantly, when to plant them, etc). http://www.sunset.com/garden/

Your quote says "mom on a mission". If you're really going to give up after 2 weeks, that's a very unimpressive mission. You've lost 7 pounds in 4 weeks, that's just about the maximum for healthy loss. What would happen if you gave up? Just forget it and get bigger and bigger? How does that make any sense? You're a smart…

I don't know your definition of "easy" but here's a veggie recipe I've done before. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Vegetarian-Cabbage-Rolls/Detail.aspx

In my opinion, there is only one way to make a great steak. A little salt and pepper and grill it on the barbecue.

I don't know what kind of injuries, I'll assume legs (knees and hip flexors are common), but it sounds like you have the distance schedule set up. Don't be afraid to take 1-2 days of recovery each week. Sometimes when you try to keep up the pace schedule every day, you do more damage than good. Also, don't make large leaps…

Yay, Rock N Roller. I'm doing triathlons in San Diego (not yet Ironman distances, but similar length of time and training), what kind of advice do you need? I assume you are already training for it... Message me if you need anything specific.

It's not necessarily every five pounds, but whenever the MFP calculation threshold is met. It will definitely prompt you that have reached a new goal caloric intake and then you just accept the new total. It might be another 2-3 pounds for you. For me it was the first 10 lbs, then 8 lbs, etc.

If you use a leg float (styrofoam barbell shaped floatation device) between your thighs, you can swim without the need to kick. It will keep your legs afloat and force you to use your arms, lats, shoulders, triceps.

I agree with Juni. If you've had a sore throat for TWO MONTHS (wow!), you could have a serious infection that may not get better without prescribed medication.

If you really are in substantial pain, I would get to a doctor. Without an examination or background, people on the boards would only be guessing at solutions which doesn't help you at all. Good luck hope you feel better.

Only you know the truth. I would not change what you're doing based on what other people "think" -- because alot of people don't think at all. As long as you are tracking appropriately, you will get results.

iphone app makes this real easy--good advice.

Join your local club for sure. I joined the triathlon club of San Diego to train for endurance racing. This particular club offers plenty of free advice, training, club events, etc. Well worth it for beginners. Here's a link to a running club forum in south florida. http://www.bradentonrunnersclub.com/links.shtml

I always get called this, but i the first word is usually "Dumb" and the second word rhymes with Duck.

I really thought this was going to be a totally different topic.... As far as being "wiped out" you need to listen to your body and should happily take a break. Recovery is as important as exercise. Regarding "slowing down" maybe you will have to experiment for a few weeks and see how you progress. Everybody is different.…

I get all my protein powders (usually Nature's Best or other non-carbo) online at the link below. Sometimes up to 70% cheaper than retail. http://www.americannutrition.com/store/index.html

Be careful NOT TO stretch your muscles when they are completely cold. You can also pull a muscle this way. It is recommended you do a very light warm up (walking or peddling slow) for a few minutes prior to your first stretch. Then don't forget to stretch fully AFTER your workout too. Also, if you truly did pull a muscle…

I haven't tried wearing my heart rate monitor, it kind of spoils the spontaneity. I would venture to say that there are also levels of, shall I say, exertion? duration? I'm sorry, I suppose you'll have to estimate...Or google it.

If you are comfortable using the equipment and understand what you are doing with nutrition and exercise, you in no way need a PT to lose weight. I would guess very few people on this site use a PT (myself included, they are way too expensive). I know there are many places that it seems like you are there to buy a car, but…

I use a lot of pinto beans for extra protein with little or no fat (and they are very cheap!). You can boil them then add fresh ingredients (onions, mushrooms, peppers) to them, mix with rice (also cheap). Good luck!
