There's been a 22c levy on plastic bags here in Ireland for the past 5-6 years. You get used to bringing your reusable bags with you to the store pretty quickly so it's only an inconvenience for a while.

If I'm eating a lasagne I will separate the layers and eat each one before moving onto the next for example I'll eat all the meat sauce then the pasta layers then the top layer. Also if I'm having any 'wet' food such as a sauce or gravy I won't pour it on my dinner I need to have it in a bowl by itself, beans beside toast…

@nearptr When we were taught about basic nutrition and the dreaded food pyramid in school it always listed potatoes etc to be eaten as a source of carbohydrates, then to eat other vegetables to reach your target. I never said they weren't vegetables at all. But that's here in Ireland so maybe food pyramids etc differ…

Potatoes don't count towards your five a day, they are counted towards your starches/carbohydrates. Not sure about sweet potatoes though, so someone who knows more than I do can let me know.

I'm taking Dianette and I notice one week to ten days before my week off the scale can go up as much as 3lbs, I stopped weighing weekly as I was getting so disheartened so now I weigh a few days after I'm back on my pill after the 7 day break and I'm always down.

You don't HAVE to exercise to lose weight, a calorie deficit will accomplish this. However no advice or suggestions that anyone can give you will make you want to eat right or exercise, that comes from you and when you want it enough you'll be able to do it.
