  • I never liked working out in the past either. Once I went past one month of working out 5/6 times a week, that started to change, especially when I started seeing results. I now enjoy going to the gym and working out. Just stick with it longer. IMO
  • HOLY emoticons!!! lol Yeah, turn your anger into exercise.
  • Did you start and restart the monitor during your workout? Maybe 116 is the total calories burned for the entire workout and 31 is for that segment if you start and stopped it. I'm new on here I don't know if you can post pics on here. I would say post a pic of the monitor display if you can.
  • My guess is 116 is your heart rate at the current time and kcal is calories burned at that time edit: missed part of your comment. DId you start and go after parts of your workout? Maybe 116 is the total of your workout and 31 is for that segment. I never hard of that brand
  • You might also consider purchasing (if not now, down the road) the usb docking station for your polar HRM. You just place the HRM face down on the docking station and it's transfers all of your workout information to the polar fitness website which has your workout diary. The polar website also has wonderful challenges…
  • I never lie on my food log. It's only cheating myself. Yeah, it's hard not to as I do get tempted to skip logging a snack or something that is not healthy to eat, especially since I have an open diary to my friends, But the reason I have an open diary is for people to call me out on bad eating or give adive for healthier…
  • This should be real interesting, I already make a mess of the kitchen when I cook anything. lol
  • That is a real good price, enjoy!!
  • Whenever I see the name miracle in the product name, a red flag always pops up in my brain.
  • Thanks, I did not know that about European pasta. It does make sense though. I have thought about making my own pasta, I should at least give it try some day.
  • rework the ingredients with the sauce? I don't know if I could go that far. :) Surprisingly, I have done much better over the years at taking it easy with the cheese.
  • That's a new one. Will have to research it a bit.
  • Some of the stairmasters at my gym underestimate. When I record my cardio I always just take the lower calorie burned number.
  • Thank you, I will have to give that a try also. There is a whole foods about 30 minutes from me.
  • Why? I think because I have been brainwashed that you should cut out the white pastas, instead of maybe just cutting down the portion size. Back to the eat in moderation thing. I have not tried sweet potato gnocchi yet and I'm really into sweet potatoes the past couple of years.
  • Dang it, I'm sitting here replying and I forgot to quote. sorry about that.
  • Ashley, I don't recall seeing that brand, I will have to look out for that. Thanks
  • Silverstar, Eat less!!!! lol I grew up with my mother and aunts who would say after I would finish my second helping, "What, you don't like? Eat eat eat!!!" So I course I would have the third helping. lol I have been slowly working on that. :)
  • sing4me4you, Good idea with the Barilla multigrain. I have seen it but have been hesitant to try it out. Barilla is my normal pasta brand.
  • Pankybinky, I will have to write them down first on paper and then post them. I remember when I asked for the recipes from my Mom. She was like, " I don't have them written down it's all in up here in my head" She could never just tell me word for word the recipe, she was like just watch me from start to finish whenever I…
  • I also spent a month in buying and exchanging heart rate monitors until I got it right and I was looking to keep it under $120. I bought and stuck with the Polar FT40 and have not looked back. I'm thrilled and I bought it for about $100. on amazon. I had the FT4 also. I loved it also but I wanted the v02max(fitness test…
  • CM Punk fan here!!
  • There is a good chance that Brock Lesnar will make an appearance this Sunday at WM to set the wheels in motion for some kind of feud that will have him participate in next years WM. This would be great!!
  • $4.69 in my town
  • 46, feel free to add me.
  • I do the same as you. I don't officially record a new weight until I go 3-4 days without ever reaching that weight.
  • You need a different scale then. If I step on and off it a few times it will read the exact weight including the tenth after the decimal point every time. When was the last time you purchased a digital scale?
  • Thanks everyone!! It all makes sense now and I realize the main thing is to measure at the same spot every time and if the number keeps getting lower then all is going. I guess even though the number is higher than I thought, I'm very happy to be fitting in pants that 4 months ago I could not fit into. :)
  • I found that on some other diet website, they said to measure an inch above the belly button.
  • Just to give an idea how weight fluctuates. I did the following to prove a point to my daughter who was obsessed with weighing herself and then would get discouraged when she was eating right, working out and seeing erratic results. I weighed myself on the same scale about 8 times one day. I weighed in when I woke up,…
