I don't do any specific core work but I do a lot of compound lifts and this has definitely improved core strength. Now I am cutting fat I am starting to see abs :D I'd probably focus on them if I thought they were holding me back though - there are hundreds of options.

I don't calculate lifting calories - I always figured they'd be pretty low. The online calculators work it out at just over 100 for an hour - so I don't bother. DOUBLE BODY WEIGHT DEADLIFT!!!!!!!!! Yup, achieved. 110kg (242lbs). Pretty ugly on the lock out but knew the whole way up I could do it - shaky leg on the left though! That is all.
