Knock yourself out if you aren't eating back your "cals burned"...but I suspect you are, so: MFP takes your normal daily activity into account (and no, sedentary does NOT mean NO activity (that is what BMR is)). So since cooking and cleaning are daily acitivity you should NOT be counting it because you are not doing…

If someone is touching you in a way you don't like, for goodness sake STAND UP TO THEM and sternly tell them "do NOT touch me like that" and walk away. :frown: But that being said, I don't mind being pinched/poked if it is by family or friends and is done in a teasing manner. I was always brought up in a very physical…

I am all for young people to be healthy. However: 1) This site is NOT designed for children. 2) She is breaking the user terms of MFP 3) One should not encourage her to do so

Great work!!!! I just saw that 100 days is 14 weeks, which means you lost over 2 lbs a week. You were working your BUTT OFF.:noway: INCREDIBLE!!! (make sure you don't expect to keep that rate of weight loss up because you are getting closer to being healthy) KEEP IT UP!!!
-
Holy. Buckets.:noway: What a incredible transformation!!!!:drinker: Nice work, keep it up!!!! :flowerforyou:

What she said. And be really, really conservative with your burns.
-
WOW. You really had the deck stacked against you but you have totally overcome it! Congratulations!!! Such an inspiration!!! :drinker:

EXACTLY. It's a mathematical impossiblity to lose a significant amount of weight per week when you are in/near the healthy range and not go below your BMR for the very reason you described. People will tell you "oh you should only have a 10-15% cut from your TDEE"....but for some of us this would lead to you losing like 1…

So, you are sad to have lost weight because in a round about way people are now commenting on how fat you let yourself get? I feel like you really shouldn't be focusing on the guilt of where you were, and should accept it and move on to being proud of where you are now. Self-loathing is only going to put that weight right.…

I love Walmart. Everything in one place, they are ALWAYS open, and have good prices. If you don't like it, shop somewhere else, instead of being a COMPLAINER! :grumble:

Salads are probably a mental thing for you : you expect not to feel full, so you aren't. I used to have the same thing happen when I didn't have a starch for dinner. It's all about mind over matter.

It's ok to work out if your symptoms are above your neck (so, no chest/lung issues). Do what you got to do, and cover your mouth when coughing and wipe down the equipment. Some people freak out about people going out in public when you have any sort of bug (even though germs pretty much cover EVERYTHING). Yet, normals bugs…

Garlic powder is awesome to season!!! 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, sliced like thick potatoe chips. YUMMERS.

If you find some thing offensive, REPORT IT to the moderators. That said, I agree with you: we should be all be supportive of each other.:flowerforyou:

No, as long as you stay under your calorie goal it won't interfere with you losing weight. MFP is a little misleading because it counts all sugars towards your sugar goal, instead of ADDED sugars, which is what you are supposed to watch out for. Processed things that come in packaging = bad, fresh fruits = good Sugar is…

Glad I didn't make it all the way through. This is what blogs are for.
-
YOU set your goal when you told MFP how many lbs you wanted to lose per week. If you don't have that much to lose, don't be setting it to 2 lbs per week, etc.
-
My mom met John Wayne. So yeah, I am pretty much famous after that. Oh yeah, and I spent some time with Jack Johnson and his family last summer...very nice fellow.
-
ENOUGH SAID. It's a "GOAL" for a freaking REASON people. :noway:

^This Your mind might be tricking you sweetheart. I am very against people harping on others for "not being happy" with their weight, but your posts do sound like a classic anorexia case.:frown: BMI isn't correct in all cases, but 5'4" at 100 lbs sounds VERY unhealthily skinny. If you are wanting to APPEAR thinner, perhaps…

You can do it either way: the 10-15% cut of TDEE method is supposed to make sure you aren't losing too much (so to stave off people who only have 15 lbs to lose and shouldn't lose 2 lbs a week), but you can also do it from a driect calories cut from your TDEE approach, such as 2 lbs a week = 1000 cals a day deficit (taking…

In. As in, "in shape." Wherever you carry your weight (bottom, middle, etc), losing that fat off will help you improve your shape. And then toning exercises will help firm it up, but really I think most people's problem is having fat OVER their problem areas. Working that area too much, esp. if it is your thighs,…

Google: A push-up, or in British English a press-up, is a common calisthenics exercise performed in a prone position by raising and lowering the body using the arms. It is going to depend on you and how in shape you are. Average estimators, treadmills, etc are CRAP, really. Get yourself a HRM to track how many cals you are…
-
Again, does that mean you are skipping some days, meals? Are you measuring your food or just estimating?
-
If losing weight ISN'T a science, then how do you know that fat has 9 cals per gram? Is that because you FEEL LIKE IT DOES?!?!
-
He got it from muliplying his BMR by 1.2 (sedentary), as he said he had a desk job. :indifferent:
-
:noway: Do they even MAKE those things anymore?! Ahhh....the 90's.
-
"If you feel like..." Losing weight is science, it's not about feelings. I know you mean well, but this sort of advice is unhelpful.
