  • Greek yogurt CAN be great, but make sure you check the nurtition label (which you should always do anyway). Alot of the popular brands are a wolf in sheeps clothing: SOOOO much added sugars in them (chobani, oikios, dannon, yoplait, etc). As far as I have found, Fage Plain (i like the 2%) is the best for protein/calorie…
  • Major sources of protein per calorie: 1. Lean meats 2. Seafood 3. Soy 4. Egg 5. Dairy PEANUT BUTTER IS NOT A GREAT SOURCE OF PROTEIN. I used to think so too but it has waaaay too much fat that bumps up its calorie count. I still love it though, I just recognize that.
  • Fage plains are the best protein pack for your calorie punch. Get chobani, yoplait, etc if you want to feel like you are eating healthy but really are having a sugar bomb.
  • Teriffic work!! What a trasformation!!:noway: Keep it up!!
  • That may be true... OR you could get off your bootie and exercise and eat properly and easily lose 10 lbs in 10 weeks.
  • I have had stretch marks on my butt and thighs since puberty. They are white ones, so hard to see unless you are somewhat close. I used to loathe them and try things to get rid of them. But now, I don't let it bother me. Stretch marks are part of being a woman (for most) and I don't let them stop me from wearing a bikini.…
  • Uhm, probably little to none. You only really burn calories when you elevate your heart rate significantly. If you are really curious, get a heart rate monitor.
  • I found them at my local ethnic food store.
  • Science would disagree with you (and yeah, I ALSO run with a HRM): http://walking.about.com/od/calorie1/a/calorieswalkrun.htm "Calories per Mile for 160 Pound Person Walking 2.0 mph - 91 2.5 mph - 87 3.0 mph - 85 3.5 mph - 83 4.0 mph - 91 4.5 mph - 102 5.0 mph - 116 Running 5.0 mph - 116 6.0 mph - 121 7.0 mph - 119 8.0 mph…
  • Wow...not one response. Good bye!
  • I have been doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred for 6 days (you do level one for 10 days, level 2 for 10 days, level 3 for 10 days) and am loving it! It combines strength and cardio (and abs), so is a good one and done 20 minute workout. Here is level one:…
  • Cereal.
  • This is incorrect: the higher your heart rate, the more calories you burn over the same distance. Which is why running is slightly more effective for burning calories than walking the same distance. Also, I only burn about 75 cals for every runned mile, so you are off by 25%. THIS IS WHY you shouldn't make generalizations…
  • :noway: You're only cheating yourself. Do whatever you want. :grumble:

  • And definitely erring on the side of caution when eating calories back. :ohwell:
  • TOTALLY the money. are you kidding me?! :noway: I can get to my goal weight on my own AND stay there for the rest of my life. The money would be ALOT harder to get.

  • Not gonna lie: they look a little weird to me. But whatevs, rock 'em if you got em.:flowerforyou:
  • Well if you were running around an NBA court, about 19 times (exactly 18.3). Around a normal high school or college court, about 20 (exactly 19.7). (from Yahoo Answers).
  • You should get a Heart Rate Monitor. Even if you know how fast you are going, average estimators can be waaay off. Heart rate monitors tell you exactly how many calories you burn.
  • Nice work! But, that is 2.5 lbs a week, healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. I hope you are doing it the right way, I have run into alot of people who are taking it to the extreme lately and it's not good. :ohwell: Here's to losing weight but being healthy while doing it! :drinker:
  • Just browse through the success stories, there are already lots...
  • Sweetheart. You are not any of those terrible things, you are beautiful, wonderful human being because ALL people are. But you DO need to find a doctor, and a real psychologist (that counselor is a freaking idiot). What you are going through is serious, and unfortunately common. I was in a dark place as well for too long…
  • ^THis stuff tastes like AWEFULLNESS (editing myself here). :noway: How DARE you compare it to amazing peanut butter!!
  • When I started dating my boyfriend, we went to workout together. I didn't know much about working out with free weights although I had been to the gym alot. He suggested I try doing some lunges with the bar....well I have ALWAYS sucked at lunges but I figured I should try. Well, I got into the second one, squeaked, tipped…

  • I think any fad diet is just that: a fad diet. The one thing that's good about paleo is that it limits processed crap. The bad thing? It throws out alot of good stuff along with it like dairy and breads. Just work on eating healthier, and avoid fads. As far as I'm concerned, there is no point in doing something that you…
  • Wow! It totally looks like you are fitter too! What workouts have you been doing? Keep up the great work!!

  • #1 Picnic, BBQ something casual and fun! Date night even if it's not to formal And running around doing errands and ROCKING it. #2 This is a GREAT anywhere, any time dress. Slap a cardigan, a camisol underneath (for cleavage) and belt on and wear it to work (depending on your office, it may be a teeny bit too short in the…
  • This comment ALWAYS makes me laugh. I retort: "It's not the MEAT I'm worried about, it's the FAT!!!"
  • Yes. Negativity from alot of people (especially at work for me). I think it really opens your eyes about who is truely happy that you are working on being healthier and who is selfish and jealous and wants to bring you down. :brokenheart: I have heard alot of people say that when it comes up you should reply with "my…
