YES. I can't tell you how many times that I have been watching the Food Network and they say "bacon makes everything better!!" Aside from the unhealthy factor, it's like c'mon- rather unoriginal! ....... Oh wait, you were being sarcastic. :embarassed: Oh well, I'm GOING to say it: BACON IS GETTING OLD.

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) advises adults who eat a 2,000-calorie diet to limit sugar intake to about 40 grams (10 teaspoons) of added sugar per day.
-
I'm glad you were successful at losing weight. But just because you did it along with limiting sugar doesn't mean it is the only way. In fact, I would say it was most people lose weight without having a conniption about sugar. It is nice of you to try and be helpful, but fear mongering doesn't get people anywhere.
-
Probably as towards staying under your "sugar goal." It's mostly added sugars you should stay away from.

Proteins are important for muscle health. But that is a seperate conversation from straight weight loss, which was the original topic. The whole "good carb vs bad carb" thing is a rather outdated myth. And once again, SUGAR IS A CARB. And 2,500 calories, that is A TON of calories!!! I would venture to guess MOST people,…
-
There is absolutely NO scientific evidence to back up your claime that only certain fruits are ok and others are unacceptable. Added sugars are the only problem, with processed foods as far as 30gs sugar daily goal. I hope you are aware that sugar is a carb as well.

Calories is the issue m'dear. Pounds are made of calories. This is alot of my beef with WW, they don't track every calorie, they give you "free points" in fruits which tricks you indo overindulging in them (at 100 cals a pop, that adds up QUICKLY)....WW is great for learning to eat healthy, but not the best for a…

She is not logging consistently. Look at her diary. Not logging = not following the system. That is what I was referring to. And "avacados storing fat in the right places"....sorry but that sounds very made up.

Water weight. It'll getcha! If you haven't been eatting over your TDEE you can't gain real weight, you body is just holding on to fluids differently. Espeically if you have had alot of sodium the day before. It is important to weigh yourself at the same time of day too. Dont' freak. Weigh yourself again in a couple days,…

LOVE my FT4  $62 with no shipping at Bodytronics.com. It shows calories burned and tracks my workouts.

America is country full of people who are literally EATING THEMSELVES TO DEATH. Yes, indeed, don't listen to an educated person who is trying to council you on your health. LISTEN TO YOURSELF, AND DO WHAT FEELS GOOD. :explode: :noway: I live in Montana, but you must be from the Great State of DENIAL.
-
Nothing like only listening to people who say what you want to hear. :noway:
-
Get your body fat measured, and go off that instead. Weight and BMI are a very blunt tool and don't work in all situations. But it sounds like to me you are simply in denial about how heavy you are. Yeah yeah, people can say "oh you look GREAT, don't lose any weight!!" But most people are people pleasers; if your health is…

According to my personal research, you only need to worry about ADDED sugars, as in processed foods where they mix the sugar in to it. Fruits have alot of natural sugar in them, but they shouldn't count towards your sugars goal. So now I don't include the sugars in anything that doesn't come in a package. If you are REALLY…

i don't know about the milk. But your body NEEDS iodine, so yes you need to find a supplement.

Eat them. Your defecit is already set by MFP so if you don't eat them you would just be givving yourself a larger defecit, but that is unnecessary. As long as you have a Heart Rate Monitor that is giving you an accurate burn. If you are using an average estimator, proceed with caution. :frown:

^ Yes!!! SO EXCITED!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You are an inspiration!! :drinker:

The "it's good to be curvy" mentality makes me sick. It's FAT (NOT "meat," which some people tend to say). And if there is too much of anywhere, it is unhealthy and gross. EVEN IN YOUR BOOBS. I think my big thighs are a turn off, which makes them a turn off. Shorts NEVER fit, and they are HUGE and jiggle. Much prefer them…

Yes, I have heard you are supposed to let your body recover from heavy weight lifting for a couple days. But I think more importantly, think about your goals: if you are doing it because it is FUN and good for you, then of course do it as much as you want!! (Your BF is probably trying to build muscle, so he has different…

If you don't eat them back, the just increase your cut for the day: for example, if you had a 1800 TDEE and a 1300 goal you have a 500 cut (or 1 lb a week), exercise 200 without eating back increases it to a 700 cut. I alwasy eat them back because I am eating below my BMR so I only want to lose 1 lb per week, and if I…
-
NO. NO. NO. Your TDEE is what it takes to maintain your weight, which is your BMR x your daily activity multiplier (1.2 for sedentary). C'mon people! Also, remember that exercise supresses appetite, so if your work out, it's a win-win!
-
Work out! Make your own calories (but use a HRM so you aren't lying to yourself). Do this ALL the time. Eating more is the best incentive to exercise ever.
-
Unsatisfied. It was never as good as I thought it would be. :grumble: But I don't let it bring me down, I just try to make a mental note that I won't do it again for a long while. Don't let food ruin your day! :flowerforyou:

Daily. Sure it bounces a bit, but it is nice to have that reality check every morning to start my day.

I have no idea what you are really saying. Something to the effect of: I am upset that there is alot of idiots out there spouting conflicting information. My advice: WELCOME to the INTERNET!!! YOU MUST BE NEW!!!
-
Sorry to pee on your pity party. Carry on. I look forward to living in a world that does not conform to basic science and math.
