  • Great work- quite a transformation! Thanks for sharing!! Keep it up!
  • LOVE these. "When you want to succeed as much as you want to breathe, THAT'S when you will succeed...when you want to succeed MORE than you want to party, MORE than you want to sleep, THEN you will succeed." That really resonates with me. I run into SO many people, on and off MFP, who say they want to lose weight and get…
  • ^ DOWN WITH THE NANNY STATE. If you want to be a fatty, do it. If you don't, DON'T. None of my business.
  • THAT CRAP IS NASTY!! Just eat regular peanut butter, and deal with the fat. It's healthy fats anyway... and it's DELISH.

  • GUINNESS AND BLUE MOON ARE DOMESTICS. They are a little less maintstream than __________ lights, but c'mon! Have a micro m'dear. It will blow your freaking mind. Although I did miss the fat tire. I love me one of them once in awhile. :drinker:
  • Sorry: I don't drink sissy beers. Life it to short to waste time on crappy alcohol.
  • You must not drink very much then....

  • Trying to lose weight and watching what I eat has made me SUPER aware of how many calories I used to drink and not even know. :grumble: Now when I go out I work out BEFORE like a mo'fo' and plan out exactly everything I will be drinking (It doesn't matter what, it's whatever I feel like for the night but I PLAN IT OUT…

  • Uhm, yeah of course it is "possible." It's just a question of how hard you want to work for it. And minimum healthy weight for 5'6" is 114 lbs according to MFP (Tools > BMI) so you have a bit of wiggle room at 125.
  • Lots and lots of fruits and berries. :) A desert I had the other day was some greek yogurt, mixed berries, granola, and honey on top. Not necessarily low cal but healthy and delish! Chocolate dipped strawberries are good. Also, I have been into getting yogurt lately. Feels like such an indulgance but really isn't…
  • Incredible transformation!! :noway: I loooove your calves, they are so perfect! Keep up the good work, and thanks for posting despite your fears!! :flowerforyou:
  • AMAZING!! :noway: Fantastic job and keep it up!!
  • INCREDIBLE!! So inspirational! :drinker: Keep it up lady!!
  • ^ My sentiments exaci-dact-ly.
  • Just fill out your numbers on MFP and it will TELL you.
  • The reccomended healthy weight for 5'5" is 111.2 - 150.2. If you are at 118 and think you are "chubby," you very well may have body dysmorphic disorder. Perhaps you should focus on gaining muscle and losing fat instead of losing weight. This can make a big difference in how you look because 1 lb muscle is more compact than…
  • Sorry I'm not a stalker ("research") and didn't know that she may actually have an ED. :frown: She said she has been eating around 1200, nothing wrong than that. HOWEVER, I still think you are out of line asking someone why they want to lose more weight if they are in the healthy range. Have your own cookie. :indifferent:
  • Her goal is only 5 more lbs which is still in the healthy range. And she's NOT starving herself, wtf?! SO FRUSTRATED with MFP for people discouraging weight loss within the healthy range. It's not so terrible that some are actually going for better than "good enough"!! :explode: OP, you might want to join the group…
  • Camping to me = unhealthy food and beer Have fun, but look out!!:ohwell:
  • Agree with the first part. OP, you may be confusing water weight gains with real gains. I think you are out of line on the second part. She did not ask you to comment on her weight and she's not at an unhealthy one, so butt out. :grumble:
  • Pump it by the Black Eyed Peas! totally increases my mile time.
  • Not yet...9lbs isn't awhole lot when you have so much to lose. But hang in there. It's usually hardest for the person losing the weight to notice the changes themselves anyway! You are off to a great start, keep it up!!
  • Of course, it depends on how low: I have seen alot of anorexic girls eat 600 cals a day, work off 500 of it, and then tell me they "aren't hungry." But since your intake is so high this obviously is a different situation, you are probably fine. I'm guessing you haven't been at it very long (because honestly if your…
  • Macros aren't important for losing weight. But they ARE important for being healthy, which hopefully everyone should be working at. Especially if you are concerned about muscle mass (which you are likely to lose if you aren't eating enough protein), macros are important.

  • I think as long as your body is warmed up for the strength training, it doesn't matter. At a certain point, it all is getting much too particular. Just work out and do your best with how things fit with your lifestyle/preferences. If you are are more likely to skip one or the other because of which is first, you have your…
  • From what I am heard, this is how you need to calculate your intake (and you shouldn't just use some generic formula): Protein = 0.8-1 g for every kg of your total weight (2.2 lbs in 1 kg) Fat = 25-35% of total calories Carbs = what's left over MFP's default protein is usually way low for most people.

  • Uhm...does it count if I changed into my bikini in the middle to get some tanning in?! :embarassed: I wear workout clothes all day because I work out in the morning, afternoon, and evening when I'm not at work. :blushing:
  • I love my Polar ft 4  Mine was $62 with no shipping and handling at bodytronics.com Heart Rate Monitors are the best way to go for accurate calorie burn info.
  • Give them away? That's what all the people in my office used to do...those jerks! :grumble:
  • Indeed. But cheese is a yummy snack too....and it's a better source of protein (depending on what you get).
