I'm not from India, but I love having MFP friends from all over the world! Sending you a friend request!

I'm 5'11 and dated plenty of guys that were not as tall as I am. Height doesn't matter when you're horizontal. :blushing: That being said, my husband is 6'3 and built like a tank. He literally swept me off of my feet, and I was toast. However, he has many, many more things going for him other than his height. Just some…

Thank you! I've just been trying to stay consistent. I've cut out pretty much all processed foods, stay fairly low fat and drink a ton of water. I walk 2.3 miles (my neighborhood loop) three times a week. My walk is not your normal walk, though...it's a b*tch! We live in the start of the Ozarks, and our house is at the top…

Thank you! Who knew that counting calories and getting up off of my rear worked so well!?!

Turning 40 August 12! :flowerforyou: I started this in Feb. as a birthday present to myself...and I've lost over 70 lbs! My 40's are going to be amazing and I am looking forward to every single year! You all look gorgeous...love this site!

This made me giggle this morning. Walmart...where shopping is always an adventure.

I am sitting upstairs in my bedroom reading this thread, and when I read this post I am laughing so loudly that my husband, who is sitting downstairs, wondered what was going on! Reminds me of the late Erma Bombeck...if she ever wrote about her experience with a Diva cup!

Sitting here waiting for my four year old daughter to go to sleep, then making sure the other kids are in bed. Feeling kinda sorry for myself tonight for some reason...I love being a wife and Mom, but I really miss having a social life. We're fairly new to our community, and haven't made too many adult friends yet. Missing…

Grew up in Warrenton, went to college in Warrensburg, and now back in MO in Farmington after living in Arkansas, Texas, DC and Washington State. It's great to be home! :flowerforyou:

He had an amazing command of our language. I remember being in the Lincoln Memorial reading his words, and just bawling. I'm a sap.

If it's fast food, I get grilled chicken with no cheese/mayo and skip the fries. Drink water. Another good choice for us is a Pizza buffet of some type. We have CiCi's here, and I fill up on salad, and they will make a thin crust veggie pizza with light sauce/cheese if I ask them. It comes out to about 70 calories a slice.…

It's fair. There are no rules to friendship in real life - you click with some people more than you do others...but for some people, it may be easier as far as introducing themselves or finding a quick common ground. I am a Christian, and my faith is important and it is a part of this whole process for me. That being said,…

You look beautiful! Congratulations on your one year on MFP and all of your success!

"Since the invention of the kiss, there have been five kisses rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind. The end." Love this movie.

Thanks for sharing, and welcome home! :flowerforyou:

I honestly wish you the best of luck in your relationship and hope it all works out for you! I'm not going to comment on your relationship, but rather share with you an observation from my own marriage. I am not a Pollyanna...and have a tendency to nag and complain as well. However, I was able to change my own behavior by…

My teens keep their rooms clean. Why? Because when they were each at the 10-11 year-old stage when their rooms were a pit, I gave them a choice. Pick up your room, or I will do it for you. They, of course, didn't do it, so while they were in school, I went and put everything that was out into a trash bag. Trash, clothes…

My 5 1/2 yo son is over 4 ft, and my 4 yo daughter is just an inch and a half behind him. They are about a head taller than the kids in their peer group. (I am 5'11 and husband is 6'3). I love that they are tall...just have to remind people/teachers of their chronological ages, as people have a tendency to expect them to…

To the OP: You sound like a very compassionate young woman. That is a blessing, but you will drive yourself crazy worrying about things that you can't control. Life isn't fair, and at times, it isn't even close to being decent. Do what you can to change the world into a better place - that way you can go to bed at night…

I only count my heavy cleaning days...not normal daily stuff. I count the time when I am mopping floors, deep cleaning bathrooms, and windows. Those are long, marathon cleaning sessions, with constant motion/effort...and yes, I do work up a sweat. I don't have a hrm yet, but can't wait til I do. It will be interesting to…

Oh, these are all so horrible. It hurts my heart to read them...but I completely understand. Last summer, I had to go to the ER - I had hurt my ankle. Get through the triage process, and the tiny little nurse goes to the wheelchairs to get one for me. She stops, looks at the normal sized wheel-chair, shakes her head, and…

This is not a new idea. It's been around for a very long, long time. In a historical context, it's even in the Bible. I am not here to argue the Bible, so please don't start...but from a historical context, it is very interesting. In the New Testament, there is a passage in Ephesians. (Chapter 5 to be exact). There is a…

Oh, sweetie...sending you huge hugs. Can I have one back?? It's been a crappy week at my house, too.

I am conflicted about this...it's a horrible situation to be in all around. As someone who was cheated on, I wish that the people in my circle at the time would have told me as soon as they knew something. It would have saved me a lot of heartache and embarassment. In this case, his whole family knew, and knew for a LONG…

The National Institute of Health (NIH) announced last week that they were going to start using lawyers instead of rats in their experiments. Naturally, the American Bar Association was outraged and filed suit. Yet, the NIH presented some very good reasons for the switch. 1. The lab assistants were becoming very attached to…
