I use the POLAR FT 40 and it's great. Got it for less than a hundred (80, I think) on ebay.

Wow, wow, wow. All that needs to be said.

There's no right answer. People lose weight with both. I eat my calories back. No biggie. I'm still losing the weight I want to lose.

I'm a big fan of whey protein. It gets absorbed extremely quick. Go casein if you want a slow release (over night)

Not quite but almost. My L4 and L5 vertebrae are highly stressed to the point where my lower spine has zero movement. All the movement whenever bend over or lean all comes from my upper back. If I'm just walking, I can barely feel it but sitting or standing for long periods of time... the pain in my lower back starts…

You say ONLY like 47 lbs isn't that much. That's incredible! You're incredible! Keep up the great work!

Please be careful when going heavy. Ensure your technique is flawless. Consult a gym trainer if necessary. I went too heavy one day and messed up my back. Over a year later and I'm still in physical therapy for it. It's not fun. Very effective and a great workout. I specifically liked doing it with a shrug bar but you have…

It could also be accurate. The machine you were using uses a very generice guesstimation.

Bingo. Might as well go for a run if you go that high of reps.

I took a class on strength training at Penn State and this is what I learned. Strength training is great for burning calories because you'll continue to burn calories 1 or 2 days after your workout. To strength train though, you need to pick a weight that is no less than 70% of your one rep max. If you don't know your…

I'm really into hip hop... but I listen to Adele's 21 when I run :)

I know what you mean. I hate that feeling. I'm probably in the minority in this, and I hope I explain it right, but I place slack of the cord on my back. Such that there is no cord bouncing (if left out free) or brushing up against your chest/breast. It's from phone to back to ears. Hope that made sense.

The results you're looking for occur during rest days... not on workout days. You could slow down or stop your progress altogether by not resting.

Cut up fruit and/or top it off with cinnamon. I hate plain oatmeal but find it pretty delicious with apple or banana slices in it. You could also do almonds or any other nuts you like.

I run and strength train and my HRM always has me burning more calories than MFP estimates. So I have the opposite problem. Still, I stay with what the HRM says.
-
Stop putting sugar in your oatmeal. Put in fruit slices instead.

Be careful with the Almond milk. Never know if your baby is allergic to that or all nuts. I didn't know my son was allergic to nuts (not allowed to eat any) until he was 2 yrs old. Mix in some whole milk with your breast milk (or formula) and slowly up the dilution until it's all whole milk.

Stretch before and after your workouts... your shins (You'll need a band or a partner... flexing/pushing your toes away from you) and ice your shins for ten minutes after every workout/run/walk. I had shin splints on one leg and a stress fracture on my other leg (on my shins as well) so I went through a year of physical…

The body absorbs whey protein better than any other protein. While Soy protein is not as easy for the body to use. So when you take in 20 g of whey protein, you're body will use all 20 g (usually) while it may only use 10-15 g of the soy protein. I'm not sure about the numbers exactly but know that what you're intaking…
