  • If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Isn't that the truth??!!! Ok, I'm putting it out there: Log on each and every day and log in each and every morsel. Hit the gym 5x a week (I'm currently at 4). Do my floor exercises every day! I need to be beach ready in 4 weeks. YIKES!! So I'll be taking two weeks "off" (but not…
  • Nicely done! They run a radio ad around here that includes the line "if you lose more than 10 pounds in 10 days, discontinuing using the product!" And I think to myself - that's not a warning!! That's a sales pitch! Ahhhh the elusive magic pill, huh???

  • We suggested this a friend who had double bunion surgery and was unable to workout for quite a while. Grab some great classic music and fashion a chopstick into a baton!! Best of luck!!! http://www.drmirkin.com/fitness/1159.html
  • Breakfast of Champions. Lunch of Satans! LOL!!
  • Food.com is also good. skinnytaste.com realsimple.com bigoven.com smittenkitchen.com Enjoy!
  • I entered 1/2 cup of broccoli tonight. 15 cals and 15 gr of sodium. It was fresh, raw broccoli however. The prepared stuff, even the frozen, generally has added salt. And yes, I agree....a streamlined way of finding food would be a wonderful thing. I've seen the same thing entered many times, often with a "generic" in…
  • You own stock in GNC? No? Ok, then don't go there. Buy turmeric. Yep, McCormicks spice. Take a teaspoon with some water and some stevia. Couple times a day...... Natural anti-inflammatory.....and a money saver. Win/win!!
  • I put the recommended measure of oats and water in the crock pot and add (for our two servings) about 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, a tablespoon of brown sugar and 1/3 cup of Craisins. Set on low before you go to bed. Stir in the morning and enjoy!
  • Try the "Five Minute Rule." Tell yourself that you'll go to the gym or start your workout and if you want to quit after five minutes, you can. (trust me....you won't!) Works like a charm - best of luck!!
  • I like Bragg's Organic Vinegarette. I believe it's 90 cals for 2 Tbsp, but it's really good and not fakey tasting at all. It is the best thing in which to saute green beans!!!
  • Or order off the appetizer menu and ask that it be served when they serve the other meals.

  • I also gained. But be prepared for a deluge of replies on why you should eat them.
  • More curiosity here too!
  • Absolutely!
  • Kombu. You can buy it at the health food store. You add it to your bean soups, chili, etc. I have no idea how/why it works. A person from Portugal told me about it. It's a seaweed. Do a google search, you'll be amazed. Hope it helps!
  • Because these forums should focus on a positive approach/attitude. Unless of course you do gather more flies with vinegar.
  • We love this one at food.com http://www.food.com/recipe/gnocchi-tomato-bake-with-freezing-instructions-318100?nl=RZ-092110-eaters-digest__item-link-url-1 It's meatless, but many people brown some ground beef and add it to the recipe. It freezes nicely. Take it out the night before and the next night come home and pop into…
  • Geez, don't hold back! Yes, what works for me is getting dressed in regular clothes (NO comfy pants or "fat" jeans). Get up both days and shower and put on a little makeup if you usually do. You will then be in "weekDAY" mode and it will feel funny to cheat. And log on here a lot!! Because most of us are positive and…
  • I totally agree with this post. I think she was just saying that even though you might THINK people are talking, laughing, etc at you, that they really aren't aware of anything past their own noses. Certainly it was not meant as a "put down" post at all - I don't believe. Being self-conscious is hard, especially when…
  • I always used to say that when the football team huddled I was sure they were talking about me! LOL It's Generalized Anxiety Disorder. If it interferes with your work, daily living or self esteem, see a therapist.
  • Tried them once - made me jittery and crabby as all get out. Recently saw a hype for cinnamon too. That didn't work either. I've had good luck with Apple Cider Vinegar. A couple of tablespoons mixed w/water before meals. I have GERD and I started using it because I saw it would provide relief and I didn't have to take the…
  • At the Police Department about 40 years ago. Year 36 of marriage is approaching.
  • Go to "FOOD" and then click on "Settings." You'll be able to use the drop down arrow to determine which nutrients you prefer to track. Hope that helps! Keep on keeping on!!! :)
  • Donating ones body to science may be a noble act. Whoever wrote the obit was an *kitten*. Just sayin'

  • I've created a recipe too, but I think you can also create a "meal" for that as well. I even include my salad dressing....so one click and it's added.
  • When I worked out with a personal trainer we always did super-sets. But she made sure it was always opposing muscle groups (bi's then tri's for example). I still do that without any rest periods. Only injury I ever suffered was using the Smith machine and squatting about 150 pounds (which was more than I weighed). I messed…
  • Oddly enough.....I was rail thin. But I had a good appetite and really great metabolism!! He just thought it was cute and really didn't do it in a mean-natured way. It just really made me HATE the name Sue! LOL!!!
  • I often order off the appetizer menu and ask them to serve it with the other dinners. Who needs those HUGE portions!? Enjoy!!!
  • I'm Susan. My dad used to call me to supper like you call pigs: SUUUU-EEEEEE! To this day, I will not respond if someone calls me Sue.
