Lifting: Awolnation - Sail Running: Katy Perry - E.T. ( My friends make fun of me for this one, but I don't give a ****...something about the beat that makes me move my feet!)

I think it's pointless to set an "ideal" weight! Set a goal weight that is realistic for what you think you want to be, then work towards that. As you get closer you will probably care less about your weight, and adjust what you thought was your "ideal" weight based on what you see in the mirror and how you feel!

Just press on! That advice is assuming you are and intelligent woman, and if the pain was really an injury you wouldn't be asking! It's natural to have soreness when you start! If it hurts...keep going! If you believe you are injured, then check it out! Edit: Forgot to say, you may just need to rest before you press on!

They also have pretty active lifestyles I'm sure!

Was gonna say this too! I sweat like a champ when I work out, and I don't even count my sodium! No health concerns already, then no worries!

If you don't mind saying, what are you currently doing on the machines that you can't do with free weights or body weight excercises? Some people might have some better alternatives for you!

Nice!

Feel free to add me if you'd like!

I'm with this guy....while I believe that resistance training is better than not doing it, I don't touch many machines. Most of them will move in a very linear motion, and for most lifts, that is not a natural motion!

There's no way! No way, that you could come from my loins. Soon as I get home, the first thing I'm gonna do is punch your mama in the mouth! -- Sheriff Buford T. Justice

This guy is my new idol, and makes perfect sense! Cheat all you want, and you are only cheating yourself!!! I don't get the whole cheat thing. Just fit what you want to eat into your daily allowance...if you need more calories to make it fit, adjust at another meal, or move your *kitten* more to make it happen!…

Am I the only one that still has "Eye of the Tiger" on their playlist to get them going? Classic, but still effective!

You didn't! End of story! I took a dump and lost 1kg!

When I was in High School I used to put a 25 pound plate in my book bag, put it on my back as tight as I could, and do push-ups using some push-up bars. You can go a little deeper using the bars, and the extra weight made it harder.

Very good read! Thanks for the post!

That is what you got from the interwebs huh? It doesn't claim to be some "magic weight loss" pill! I don't understand why people that are so anti-supplement keep coming on these threads to talk about things they either: a: know nothing about and have never tried b: maybe have tried, but expected it to be that "magic weight…

I just wasted life watching that video!

You just prioritize and make the time! I hate to be the bad guy, but I find it funny that people don't have time for anything, unless it is something they "want" to do. Then, they have all the time in the world! Figure out what is most important to you, than make the time for the things at the top of that list! Many people…

The point is, if you constantly work your body, you won't always have that I can't get through my day soreness! Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean you've "over-done it"! It may just mean you haven't done what you just did in a while, or ever, and it's your muscles way of saying I need a break! Over time, you…

Would you care to elaborate? Do you have any real input?

I honestly haven't tried either, but based on the research I've done they both pretty much work the same way. Meaning they are both based off an accelerometer which feeds data into an algorithm to calculate calories burned. I actually use a bodymedia device which also has an accelerometer, but also takes other readings…

My own, or somebody elses? I've been told my arms and traps are mine. I love a woman with nice thighs!

In my opinion, that is where you want to be. That extreme soreness you feel when you start is because you are just starting, and probably using muscle you haven't in a while. If you have been doing it a while, then of course you are going to be sore, but not as sore as when you started because those muscles are used to it.…

Keep in mind that sleep is tracked very much the same way in which everything else is throughout the day. Meaning, a large part of it is based upon the data taken from the 3-axis accelerometer and fed into algorithms. Meaning, movement can be interpreted as being awake even though you are actually asleep. I tend to sleep…
I've hit kind of a plateau because my deadlift strength is beyond my handgrip strength right now. it's a b.
I also have this problem. Using thick barbells/dumbells is really supposed to help with this if you have access to them. I don't, so I decided to get a set of Fat Gripz and Grip4orce (not sure which…

If it doesn't connect to your phone after the update try uninstalling the app on your phone then reinstalling it. Happened to me before, and this fixed the problem. Or, just try restarting your phone first, and this may do the trick as well.

Up at 5am again, and off to the gym...For those of you that get up earlier than this, I really don't know how you do it? 5 kicks my *kitten* as it is. Enjoy the morning workouts all!
