Black beans, pinto beans, salsa cheese and corn tortilla

I have a manager who is trying to sabotage my diet. She has never, NEVER offered me any food EVER...until she heard me talking to someone about how many pounds I've lost. Now she puts on my desk (not offering, just plain putting it on my desk when I'm away) muffins, pumpkin pie, cake, cupcakes, candies... AND of course she…

Stick up for yourself once. Tell your manager that reglious talk in the workplace makes you uncomfortable (with no explanation why) and to please stop. Then, talk to your HR department about it, just letting them know that you have already spoken to your manager about it. This way, if anything should happen immediately…

Let me just say that 127 is NOT a lot for 5'3"; I'm 5'4" and my healthy range is 125-140. However, if you don't feel that you are healthy enough, then just make sure you are getting the nutrition and activity you need. I also work a "9-5" in a cubicle all day. Have you tried walking during your breaks? Sometimes getting up…

I'm interested in replies, too. I'm usually over on my protein and calcium (I'm a milk-hound, what can I say?).

I'm the same way; for me, getting noticed is some sort of affirmation that I'm done, even though I know I'm not.

I'm experiencing that as well; Thanksgiving oughta be easy! MFP yells at me at the end of each day because I didn't eat enough calories, but I'm just not as hungry anymore! :)
-
Probably not what you were looking for, but it's my answer. :)

I set my goal weight to be what my driver's license says: 145. I've got a little less than 20 to go!

Gotcha. Thanks!

What is NSV?

Yes, the Wii has MANY options for workouts. I love the Zumba games (have both) and Dance Dance Revolution, which makes you think you're having fun, but you're working out, too. I don't use the Wii Fit games as much because there's too much pausing in between games and you lose your HR and it feels like you've been working…

I would just use circuit training

It really depends on your personal profile. I bought myself a watch-style HRM to track the calories, because it really does vary. I did 45 minutes of Zumba on my Wii the other day (the original), and I burned 789 calories! There are websites you can check to get an estimate (just Google Zumba calorie burn), but if you've…

Calories are calories, plain and simple. I saw a news article on a professor who lost weight with junk food. Attaching the link: http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/index.html

I'll play! 5'4" 166.2 32% body fat. I started re-tracking my weight and calories on 10/18/11 and have since lost 13 pounds, so this is what I've been doing 1) I'm using MFP's suggested caloric intake of 1350 calories per day, most days I'm pretty close to that, occasionally I'm under it. My iPhone app likes to yell at me…

That's awesome!

That's great! It's the unexpected losses (well, really, gains) that really make us see the difference! For example, I finally weigh less than my dad again. Haven't weighed this little in years!

Congrats on your weight loss! My folks live near the 91 and Glassell. I work in Santa Ana, near the post office on Sunflower. I don't belong to any gyms, but workout at home with my daughter and we walk to stores, restaurants and church whenever we can.
-
Yeah, not too far away! My daughter and I love walking to the Plaza to grab a drink at Starbucks, eat at Tokyo Cafe and browse the shops!

I will gladly be your friend. I am not hoping to lost 50+ pounds...anymore. I was at 180 at my highest and am down about 18 pounds now, but I still have 20+ pounds to lose to hit my "barely made it" goal of 145, but I'd really like to hit 130.

Hi, all. My name is Michelle and I am struggling with pain in both knees. When I injured my knees in junior high school, the doctor said I had chondromalasia and gave me exercises to do to "fix" them. Through research I have discovered that what likely happened when both knees went out were injuries to my ACLs. I now have…
