I look very small at 125. That puts me in a size 2 jeans, and my face looks very sunken in. I tried to get under 120 last time, but once I hit the 125/124 mark people were no longer complimenting my weight loss and were beginning to think I looked sickly.

I love wine. I can easily drink a bottle of wine in a sitting. I often order a salad and two fruity mixed drinks over the course of a dinner out. I am trying very hard to not drink, but it is very hard. I enjoy my alcoholic beverages. Maybe even more so than food, except I do lack nutrients when I drink in lieu of eating.…

Trial and error are telling me that I am not losing weight at 1200 calories a day. I was losing well at 900-1100. It is what it is, but I don't think I will ever be allowed to have huge numbers of calories. My point is that my current daily limit to maintain my current fat size of 154, is only around 1600 calories. So not…

Yes I work a desk job.

I am currently at a BMI of 27.2. Healthy is 18.5-24.9. I look fat.
-
If I change my setting to maintaining my current 153 lbs, I am only given 1680 calories a day. I am sure my calories will be substantially less to eventually maintain my goal weight of 124 lbs. I am only 5'3". I was pretty sure I needed to choose to drink or choose to eat. I cannot fit both into my daily calorie limit and…

Not according to the National Institute of Health.

I am always been an undereater. I can function on 1000 calories a day. I ate 1200 friday, saturday and sunday and gained weight. Last week when I was eating 900-1100, I lost weight. Go figure. I am not overweight from eating. I put on pounds because I got a hormonal ID that caused my body to no longer burn off the many…

Not that it is your business... But food is not why I am dieting. I tend to drink my calories.
-
I did a 1200 calorie diet for years with no issues. Yesterday I was way less and felt fine. I have lost 5.2 lbs in 10 days.
-
Actually according to this upon complete information a diary entry on mfp... NIH says 1000-1200 is the minimum for women...

Right but the hormone changes how your body processes the calories you typically consume. So you might not change anything about your normal diet and drinks, but suddenly your body is not using the same calories it did. My body uses the calories better when I am not on a hormone. Hence the weight gain. I changed nothing…

I have the hormonal IUD. I have considered just having it removed and going with a tubal.

I am not basing my caloric intake on his. Yes I am under a doctors care. I go every 6 months for a check up and whenever I am ill. He had no surgery but told by doctor he had to take drastic measures to cut his weight and keep it off, for health reasons.
-
This is not my first rodeo doing this. I lost 50 lbs in 2014. I was doing great at keeping it off, until I started adding alcohol back into my life (gained about 10lbs, which I was ok with), and then gained an additional 30 when I got a new Mirena. I am not ok with this bloated, looking pregnant all the time weight. My…

A manager at my work is on an 800 calorie diet (male). He has had all types of testing and this is his maintenance. His doctor agreed that he functions well and very healthy on an 800 calorie diet.
-
Because last week I ate 1100 -1200 calories daily, with exercise and lost weight. This week I ate 1100 - 1200 calories, no exercise and stayed the same. I assume 1200 is my true maintenance. I seem to remember something similar the last time I did mfp and lost 50 lbs. I believe I dropped my calorie intake down to 1000 on…

I cannot find my fit bit. I did set my iphone to record sync. But I do not always have it in my pocket. I might see if I can work an apple watch in the budget instead of getting a new fitbit. I am getting older and knocking on the door of 40. So I do not burn as much calories apparently. I really do not feel hungry eating…

I need to lose 30 more lbs. And the sooner I do, the sooner I can wear my bathing suits and summer clothes.
-
No. I refuse to get up earlier than my current 5 am. I have to be at work early. My evenings are consumed with running. We almost never eat at home because I can't cook. Plus housework. We do hike on the weekends. I am in bed early also.

How do you set your calories to be less?
-
This is VERY IMPORTANT!!! Waste food. It is better for it to go in the trash than add extra weight to your body. I think this is why I have always been fairly thin. I never finish anything. Nor do I lose a moments thought on food that I throw away.
-
Exactly. My doctor said it was no harm leaving it in longer and that they are proven to work much longer than the five years. I should have left it well enough alone. And to sue for malpractice it would have had to cause me bodily harm, which it did not.
-
Not true. I had an expired one in me for almost two years. I regret going in and having it changed. As soon as it expired, I started losing weight rapidly. I was still getting the benefits of having very little of a period. Then I got a wild hair and figured it should be replaced. I gained 30 lbs in less than 4 months.

4 in 9 days, I guess. But I was 154.8 today. I am drinking tons of water today though to flush out any salt causing water retention.
-
It is because you are restricting. Stop restricting. Fit small amounts into your daily food intake. Enter your food the day before if needed. I know this makes me stick to the plan because I am lazy and do not like to change entries.
-
I am 5'3". I started logging 4/4/2017 with a starting weight of 158. I was 153.8 yesterday. I am not sure there is a problem specifically. I just thought it was odd that the number did not change with different settings

I can no longer wear my cute size 2 and 4 clothes and had to bring out my fat girl, size 6's. Losing weight is cheaper and easier than buying new clothes and feeling awful about my size.

Don't try to cut them completely. Try cutting the donut in half. Grab a couple spoonfuls of ice cream. Buy chocolate in individually wrapped packages. Set rules. You can only have chocolate with your packed lunch. Eat ice cream as a family, etc.

I do have some exercise in my diary, but not nearly as much as I would like. Time is a premium.
