Oh boy. What a great question and one with a lot of answers! When I was a teenager, I was gifted the unfortunate nickname of "Pimple Princess" at one point. Very few products worked. Cystic acne was just part of my genes. However, as an adult, I've been using Peter Thomas Roth Beta Hydroxy Acid 2% Acne Wash and Eucerin…

Hello, Cass. I am in Greenville, too. Which gym are you going to? I go to Sportsclub. Ever do any exercise along the Swamp Rabbit Trail? I hope this message finds you well!

Funny. Thanks for the chuckle!

I buy tea on-line from Harney & Sons (http://www.harney.com/) or Upton Tea Imports (http://www.uptontea.com/). If I am buying from a grocery store, I usually buy from an Asian or Indian grocery. For my Indian-style tea, I like Brooke Bonde Red Label loose tea.

Others have mentioned Couch to 5K and I also recommend it. You control the intensity. Here's what Week 1's three workouts look like: "Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes" (from http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml). I also…

I was really glad to find this string/conversation. Starting today, I am aiming to meditate at least 5 minutes a day. It helps me feel a lot less anxious and just more aware of where I am both physically and mentally. I've meditated on and off for years, but never on a regular basis. Sometimes, I use a guided imagery. You…

I am in my 7th year of Grad School and fifth year at Penn State. However, I am living in Greenville, South Carolina due to my husband's job. Please avoid wisecracks about Penn State's recent horrific scandal. It's embarrassing and certainly not a laughing matter. However, I am probably hypersensitive to it all because I…

I'm in, but modifying it to fit with my routine: Chest presses with a crunch. Oof. Feeling the burn thinking about it! Good challenge!

Hello. I welcome having some more people on my "friend roster." Ideally, I am looking for folks with a supportive and positive orientation, as well as people who just don't want to lose weight, but have some fun while doing it. :) Unfortunately, I've had some problems developing good habits. For every one "good" day I…

Hey there. Feel free to add me. My aim in doing this myfitness pal stuff is to contribute to and reap the benefits of a positive and supportive community. I tend to get bored by doing the same workouts day in and day out. In turn, I am always looking for fun, new ways to stay motivated and get moving. Good luck, Laura and…

I agree about Daft Punk. "Human" is one of the best songs for running. Ever. Hands down.

Wow. This is awesome! Thanks for all of your wonderful ideas. I will have this post next to me when I make this next week's grocery list. Good stuff!

I am on Week 2, Day 1. I slogged through a few races last year, but felt the need for a simple back-to-basics program that doesn't expect too much from me. (Read as: My husband isn't doing this with me--whereas we used to *try* running together.) I'd love to connect with others doing this to see how it's going for others.
