We get free ones but not forced. Its optional. I take it for several reasons (including I see my eldery grandparemts, I have a young child, I come into contact with clients/public, its free). However, if I worked at a hospital or doctors office, I sure as hell would make sure I took it whether it was required or not.

MFP started me at 1470 then when I lost weight, it dropped me down to 1320. Now I wont let it drop down further even though it wants to go to 1210. I cannot live on 1210. When I stick with it, I lose weight consistently. However, things like high sodium and low water intake hinder my loss. Overall, it has worked for me.

I think you would be healthIER if you quit. But if causing you to quit would cause you to commit a homicide, the get put in prison to where you would need ciggarettes as currency, then no, dont quit.

Ive lost almost 40lbs and Im having a hard time when people comment. Especially if its in a group of people and it makes me the center of attention. Maybe your MIL was just trying to encourage you. Maybe she didnt notice last time. I know that I see it on the scale before I feel it on my body/clothes.
