Oh god...beer bloat is the worst!

Yes to the lowered tolerance! I was a good drinker, I could hold my own...as long as I wasn't mixing. At my Christmas party I was getting all "oops, just knocked a cup over" clumsy after one martini. It was embarrassing! I get the warm "I just drank tequila" ears after one margarita instead of two nowadays. I haven't been…

OK, that is brilliant.

1) Went for a 15 min. walk/jog in my backyard 2) Got in touch with a local 10K about getting a group rate for my friends 3) Joined the Dewars!

I know where you're coming from, as I used to drink zero water and only consumed Diet Coke. It really is addicting and hard to break the cycle of craving it. Here's my suggestion...give bubbly water a try. For me, one of the things about Diet Coke that I always loved was the carbonation. Flat water is just "thicker" so to…

Your question makes me think of that part in "Dodgeball" where Ben Stiffler's character tells his assistant to add five pounds to the scales in the women's locker room. What kind of scale is at your gym? Is it one of those big medical behemoths or a digital?
-
Are you using your scale on a completely flat surface? On my linoleum floor (that's designed to look like slate tile), I have to scoot my scale around to find the most even/flattest surface. Or maybe it is time for you to get a new scale!

I like how you had three different words for poop. LOL

90% of the time I am lightest in the morning. Everyone's body is different, though.

That's exactly what you use, Rachel. Get Betty Crocker cake mix in whatever variety you feel like using. And then grab a can of diet soda and mix it in. That's all there is to it! I also saw someone use Diet Coke in a brownie mix on Pinterest the other day. I wonder about the consistency, but it is worth a shot!

Yep, I bake them. I follow the cupcake instructions on the back of the box. I put a little smudge of regular store-bought vanilla frosting on 'em and they're great. A way to help keep the amount of frosting you put on there to a minimum, take a spoon and use the back side of it. You won't be able to get much frosting on…

Now you make me wanna go grab a couple Trader Joe's eggnog almonds. Yummy! Almonds in general are such a delicious nut.

Like others have said, think about having some nuts, peanut butter (read the labels and get one with the least amount of ingredients), avocados, or a little bit of cheese. I know what you mean about eating empty calories before. If you're a person who likes the crunch of foods, you could get baby carrots. They've got good…

Plateaus happen to everyone. Like trud72 suggested, maybe try staggering your calories where one or two days a week, you try to eat a little bit above your limit. Keep your body guessing with the amount of fuel you're giving it. Also, you could add in some exercise without thinking about it. Wear ankle weights when doing…

I've been making diet soda cupcakes for years, love' em! My fave is diet 7-Up and strawberry cake mix. When I want frosting, I use Cool Whip. Another soda/cake mix recipe that is a big hit in my house is what I call yellow cake cookies. A box of yellow cake mix & a can of Sprite get mixed and then refrigerated until the…

Sounds like you have very supportive friends, so why are you complaining?

Mine has always been 160. I was at least 15 pounds heavier than that when I first got my license, but at my heaviest I was 39 pounds above that. Now I am one pound away from not embellishing my weight. So close!

*finds your hiding spot and asks for some of that wine and vodka you've got*

Just ran across this picture on a friend's FB page and it reminded me of this thread...

A) I was legitimately asking a question about what these people wanted to drink after they worked out. I'm curious. B) I guess I see the water counter on here as MFP's way of helping people train themselves to learn new healthier lifestyles. By justifying that other liquids count in that, it seems like you're cheating…
-
Holy cow you guys! Your food journal says GLASSES OF WATER, not GLASSES OF FLUID. You should only be logging H2O in that counter, everything else needs to be detailed in your diary along with its respective calories, sodium, etc. Simple as that. To the people who say that tea/soda/juice is just as hydrating as water -- I…

LOL, this is one of the best NSV's I've ever heard!

mandag, try shopping at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack. They carry a much better selection of bra sizes than Sears. Especially go to the Rack if you can, because the prices are FANTASTIC!
-
I have to echo this! GET FITTED!! And realize that your size in one brand may not be the same in another brand, or even another style within the same brand. Every company has their own sizing guidelines, just like in regular street clothes. I'm sure most of you would be surprised by what your actual bra size is...that…

Abso-freakin'-lutely. I've lost about 35 pounds and gone from a 16 to a 10, I still often feel the same size. Just the other day I saw a girl from high school (whom I hadn't seen in 9 years) and she said I was skinny and asked what I was doing. I couldn't (and still can't) believe that I look that different, that I've made…

I'm a sports bra over the regular bra girl. When I first started I was a 38G and now I'm a 32G (which is a much harder size to find in the states). I've heard Enell is a great brand but I haven't gotten to try it out. Anyone with a large cup/small band MUST check out Jenette Bras in Los Angeles (there are currently two…

Very nicely done bj!

That is similar to one of my favorite summertime drinks! Only I use white zinfandel and a lemon. It is delicious!!
