Kettlebell exercises can also combine cardio and strength training in one (kettlebell swings, etc.) so you can get more bang for your buck in that aspect.

The fruit at the bottom yogurts are not as bad as they seem because it's not like it's all added/processed sugar - fruit has natural sugar in it. So, you can buy plain yogurt and add fruit to it, but you're still adding sugar back into it.

I'm asthmatic and a runner, so it is totally possible. After a 15 year hiatus (I hadn't run since high school), I now run 100 kms/month and even compete in races again (just last week, I came in 4th in my age group in a 5km race). However, the first thing you need to do is get your asthma under control. With the help of…

I never thought a size zero was attainable for me either, but here I am. Depending on the store, I'm anywhere from a 0 to a 4. I'm 35, 5'3", small framed, and a little over 120 lbs. I'm back down to my high school weight and I'm pretty sure I was about a size 5 in high school (mid 90's). I think I'm really a size 4 and the…

I could have written this word for word.

I finished at 27:30 in my first 5km race last year (although I wasn't a total newbie runner as I used to run in high school but that was 15 years ago) and was top 5 in my age group. However, like others said, just finishing your first race is an huge accomplishment, so just focus on that for now and then work on time. :)

I'm also not underweight as I'm 5'3" and about 121 lbs. I exercise most days of the week, but only for about 30 minutes. My period started going wonky pretty early on in my weight loss journey and I haven't had a period in a little over a year. I am a runner and my period seems to have disappeared completely around the…

Height: 5' 3" Age/Gender: 35 / female Highest weight: 214.5 lbs Current Weight: 121 lbs Current body fat: Don't know Lowest weight: 121 lbs (I'm back down to my high school weight) Goal weight: It was 139.5 lbs. but I kept re-adjusting/losing. However, I think I'll stop at 120 lbs. because I'm already down to a size 2.

Yeah that - except I'm in Canada. I'm going to start being more like MacGyver and learn to transform my Lululemon headband and iPhone into a weapon (slingshot perhaps?).

I'm more worried about getting bit by the off-leash dogs that idiots let loose on the running trails.

I'm 5'3" and 121 lbs. and I think I'm what you would consider hourglass (actually, probably more like rectangle). I wear a Cdn. size 2.

As long as you are eating multiple servings fruits and veggies everyday, then there's absolutely nothing wrong with sticking to the ones you like.

I was always a normal weight growing up and didn't have a weight problem until after I had my son in 2002 (not only did I NOT lose the baby weight but I managed to add to it!). I'm 5'3" and tipped the scale at 214.5 lbs. at my heaviest less than two years ago. Now I'm 121 lbs. , a size 2 and back to my high school weight.…

No wonder your calorie count is so low - I just peeked at your diary and there isn't a fruit or vegetable to be seen!

I'm 5'3" as well - seems to be a popular height amongst us shorties. :drinker:

East Coast Canada - lobster and seafood. I clearly live in the wrong area because I hate both lobster and seafood.

I disagree. My answer is always. :drinker:

This video is also in my rotation for my non-run days. I just log it as circuit training for 30 minutes. I don't really care about the calories burned as I see it more as toning.
-
I run 4 days a week - 5kms. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and then either 7.5kms. or 10kms. on Sundays.

Yep, totally possible. I do most of my training on the treadmill and I don't notice any difference in effort when I run outside vs. on the treadmill (actually, I'm faster outside). However, with that being said, the most I've run on the treadmill is 10kms. because I get so bored that I want to poke my eyes out.

I'm 5'3", 121 lbs. and I wear a 2 (and sometimes 0) in most stores. It's because I'm small framed.

My faves are the organic pure chai and organic spearmint.

I have a 10 year old son and I work full-time. I work out as soon as I get home from work at suppertime (before I eat supper or do anything else). Nobody is going to starve to death nor is the house going to be condemned in the time it takes me to run 5km.
-
I really enjoy running, but 10km is about the furthest I run without getting bored. Actually, an hour of doing anything continuous is pretty much my attention span cut-off (I get squirmy in my seat watching movies too).

How cute - a MFP bromance! :flowerforyou:

Oops, I lied. I don't log my multi-vitamin or my B12.
