  • I went from a 38H to a 34DD by losing 80lbs. I'd wait until you're finished losing weight and then assess if you still need breast reduction surgery.
  • I'm 5'3" and my original goal was 139.5 lbs (75lb. weight loss and within the healthy BMI range), but I've now decided that I want to get down to 125lbs. I'm currently 134lbs, so I'm getting close!
  • Yep. I make sure that I have 7-8 servings of fruits and veggies everyday.
  • I'm the opposite - I don't like the idea of tieing food and exercise together because then they become rewards/punishment and can lead to either bad food choices and/or negative feelings about exercise ("Yay, I can go eat pizza because I just ran for an hour" or "Ugh, I have to run for an hour because I ate pizza" ).…
  • Avoid any shorts/pants that are low-rise. Anything with compression also helps keep the jiggle at bay.
  • Depends on the type of tummy ache and whether it's outdoor vs. the treadmill. I'm more likely to run as planned if I'm on the treadmill at home because if I start to feel sick, I can just stop and run to the bathroom.
  • I used to be a big pop drinker, but now I allow myself one mini can of Diet Coke a day. It keeps my craving for pop at bay and it hasn't hampered my weight loss. Sure, diet pop isn't good for you, but I'm not going to beat myself up over a mini can that's only like 200 mls.
  • In all honesty, I wouldn't count dog walking or cleaning as exercise - those are regular life activities. You need to be doing things that get you sweating and your heart rate up. 30 minutes a day of moderate to vigorous activity will do wonders!
  • They recommend that people get a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise a day, so I strive for that 5-7 days per week. I run 5kms.every second day and on non-run days I either take a Zumba class, do the Shred it With Weights video, or go for a bike ride.
  • A lot of people say that weight loss is 80% diet, 20% exercise. I think you need to start logging your food because it's really easy to underestimate the number of calories that you consume and portion sizes are much smaller than expected. Also, even if you are under your caloric intake, the kinds of foods you are eating…
  • Mine is just literature in Spanish. I was an English major and I love to read. However, other than taking two intro Spanish courses in university, I can't even Spanish.
  • For me, it was finding a balance - don't go too hardcore so that you're miserable, but don't go too slow so that you don't see results. I knew that if I completely cut the foods out that I love, it wouldn't have been sustainable long term (I I'd be more likely to crave). However, losing weight week after week motivated me…
  • I like turkey bacon way better than regular bacon - to me, it tastes better and it's way less greasy. I buy either Butterball or PC Blue Menu.
  • My two go-to salads: Baby Spinach Raspberries Crumbed Goat Cheese Almonds Mixed baby greens Sunflower seeds Crumbled Feta cheese Mixed greens Apple Walnuts Shredded parmesan or gruyere cheese I don't use salad dressing (yuck!)
  • Treadmill in my basement because I refuse to run in the snow/ice/cold. I can be a bit of a klutz so that's just a recipe for disaster!
  • Sure, if we're talking swings - I don't have any problems doing 15lbs. with those (I could probably even use the 20lb. bell for those). I'm talking Turkish get-ups, clean & press, etc.
  • Umm...that's a bit presumptuous. Everybody is different and should start at a weight that they can comfortably handle and then move up once they've ready. I will fully admit that I don't have the greatest upper body strength, but I am in good shape and certainly wouldn't classify myself as having 'incredible muscle…
  • I'd apologize and walk away. You're pretty and all, but not my type. ;)
  • I waiver between B and C. I'm in Canada so most people are overly nice and polite - I'm guilty of this too. However, some days it really annoys the crap out of me and I just want to karate chopping the smile off of their faces.
  • Yes, always. It's the law in my city (you'll get a fine if you ride without a helmet) but even if it wasn't the law, I would still wear my helmet.
  • I measure them at the largest part.
  • Make your own - use a pita or thin crust, low fat mozza cheese, turkey pepperoni or diced boneless skinless chicken, etc.
  • The problem is that people eat too many of them (it's easy to overindulge on bite size fruits like grapes, berries, cherries). Most nutritional site say that 1 serving of grapes is 20 grapes.
  • I'm super fussy and only eat poultry products - chicken, turkey, and eggs. Even my bacon is turkey.
  • My goal is to lose around 10 pounds. I just want to be firmly in the 120's again. Height: 5'3" Starting weight (July 2011): 214.5lbs CW (Sept 1): 135.5 lbs GW: 125 lbs.
  • See, that's the key - moderation. I have a little bit of junk every day, but I try to keep them to 100 calories and I only have my treats after I've eaten my fruits and veggies. I won't skip supper just so I can have a piece of cake. Also, my food diary looks like I'm eating a lot of food and actually I am - it's just what…
  • I'm more concerned when I look at people's food diaries and they don't contain any fruits and veggies. I'm not the cleanest eater out there, but I almost always get my 8 servings of fruits and veggies every day.
  • I'm also 5'3" and my starting weight was 214.5lbs in July 2011 and now I'm down to 136lbs. a year later. My original GW was 139.5 but I decided to keep going. I still have the dreaded belly too - ugh. My ultimate goal/lowest I'll go is 125lbs, but I'll be happy just being back in the 120's. I'm small/average framed. I…
  • They're human and have their own struggles too, including with their weight. Just because a person knows better doesn't necessarily mean that they do better. I'd be more leery of a doctor on a ridiculous fad diet than an overweight one.
  • I think that being well endowed can easily add 5 lbs. to a person's weight. When I was over 200lbs, I wore a 38H and now at 136lbs, I'm now down to a 34DD/DDD. Even when I was about 10lbs less than I am now in high school, I was still a DD, so I think this is as small as the 'girls' are going to get (and unfortunately,…
