Actually that's not correct. Men have been societally conditioned to not express their emotions. That doesn't mean that they can't or don't want to. And connecting emotionally with your wife/husband is the basis of a stable and fulfilling relationship. Women shouldn't sit back to "wait" for their husband to come to them if…

He can and he will. It just takes time. While it's not an anger management thing with my hubs, I think the issue is very similar. He grew up in a very "happy" home, and I don't think he ever learned how to deal with conflict. Since expressing your opinion and revealing your emotions can lead to conflict, he's probably…

Good god, I am glad I am not alone on this. It makes me feel really disconnected. We have plenty of conversations, but for example we are looking to buy a house right now, so we've been checking out places, and I tell him what I like and don't like. I ask him his opinion in return, and I get NOTHING! I don't know whether…

I'm lucky to have a husband who's a neat-freak. He does laundry and dishes, makes the bed, doesn't leave clothes everywhere (I'm the one that's guilty of that!). He does it out of love for me, and I am so grateful for it, but... he makes sound effects. Like whooshing noises or crashing noises or little gutteral grunts…

You're neglecting one critical aspect of this. There are certain places where you expect some privacy. Locker rooms, public restrooms, etc. This has nothing to do with sexual interest and everything to do with an invasion of privacy. Just because she was uncomfortable with him being there does not mean that she assumed he…

who the hell are they to judge what you eat anyway? urgh. I'm right with ya.

I bought it after sampling it at Costco (they have it for $6/2 loaves there! way cheaper than at the grocery store). It is SOOOO good with some peanut butter or honey. One slice for breakfast keeps me full for hours. also makes delicious turkey sandwiches.

Amen. Bread is nutritionally dense (if you're buying REAL bread.) Anything else is going to be processed to *kitten* and won't fill you up anyway. My advice is to buy whole grains, no high fructose corn syrup or added sugars (bread doesn't need sugar!) and cut your calories elsewhere. I LOVE Dave's Killer Bread. "The Good…

And the cut. If you have broad hips or a full behind, you'll probably have to go up a size or two in skinny jeans. Women that carry their weight in their stomach but are far heavier than I am tend to wear a smaller pants size than me because they don't have broad hips. Consider the cut *and* fabric and then double check…

cucumber salad: sliced thin cucumbers, ff greek yogurt, garlic, dill, lemon juice. Kinda like tsatsiki, but in salad form. (works great on the side with some grilled lean ground turkey patties, seasoned greek style)

no crushes, but definitely enjoying some of the eye candy

@candi: 21 and those lips!

stormguy: 42? and I guess it would be unfair to leave it at just my profile pic so there:

wow I've never heard that one before! I get Kim K a lot, but I think it must be because of the butt!

I guess for this one I need to actually post a pic of myself, now don't I?

The pilates and ballet are new for me. I already do so much cardio, I figured I need something that builds strength. As a dancer, pilates is just the ticket. But I get what you're saying.

yes, new life. This is why I don't want to go down to 1200 calories, I can't sustain that lifelong.

"it's not the horsepower, it's the torque" THIS. 1000 TIMES.

imho, the size of the engine has more to do with the size of the rider than how fast you want to go. If you're a big guy, then yes, a 250 may be a lil sluggish for you. If you're under 200lbs, you don't need a liter bike to fly.

I haven't been at it very long, but enough that I should see a difference (2 weeks). I am active every day. I walk to work (1 mile), and I'm a pro belly dancer, so I rehearse daily for at least an hour. On top of that, I take pilates and ballet 2/week.

ps. I adored that "dinky" ninja, even though it was a total beater. I loved working on it, fixing things, it was *MY* damn bike. Don't knock 'em. I know someone that races 250's and beats out the bigger bikes.
-
I started on my plastic fantastic 250 Ninja (Ninjette!) I am currently on the hunt for something bigger, probably an R6 or 600RR. I wouldn't go bigger than a 600. I love the R6 but the seat is pretty wide so I would have to drop it significantly to even think about flat-footing (I just don't feel comfortable if I can't…

smelly dude who always wears the same outfit and apparently never washes it. OH. MY. GOD. I can smell you from across the room, and it's quite vomit-inducing when I'm out of breath from doing burpees. Also, there isn't enough Lysol in the world that will make me get on the bench after you've used it.

agreed 1000%. You have to be very judicial about which food items you enter from the MFP database, or you could be vastly underestimating the amount you're eating.

My favorite part of that whole routine: Haters don't hate you, they hate good *kitten*. They want good *kitten* but they know they can't have good *kitten*. I swear, if he wasn't cussing so much, he'd be preaching.

She sounds like a classic hater. I posted this yesterday on another thread, Katt Williams on haters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQRbDSwZIME (warning, adult language)

You apparently haven't heard them played correctly by a belly dancer during a performance
