50% fat, 30% each protein and carbs Though I look at the protein goal as one to meet/exceed, and the carbs as a number to stay under. Usually it works out to more like 55% F, 30% P, 25% C.

I'm in the same boat. 5'2" 150 lbs, 42" hips, and 26" thighs besides that. It's always a pain to find jeans and pants that fit those measurements without having a massive gap behind my 30" waist. Maurice's "Taylor" curvy fit jeans seem to fit the bill pretty well. I wear a 7/8 short in that style, but an 11/12 in their…

Pumpkin Pie Smoothies: ice, equal parts canned pumpkin and plain greek yogurt, a bit of unsweetened almond milk, a dash of "pumpkin pie spice," vanilla, and stevia/splenda/whatever you like. The way I make it, it ends up being about 10-12 carbs. Sometimes I add a tablespoon of almond butter for a bit of extra protein and a…

being brave.... 30 years old, 5'2" 155lbs My home scale says 37-38%, the health central site says 25%, army calculators say 37%. My visual guess is mid-low 30's? I think I'd be happy to get into the mid 20's. I work out 5 days a week, mostly cardio. edit: pretty sure I did the code properly, but no luck. here's the link:…

Boars head, Plainville, and Applegate farms all make extra low sodium deli meats... or if you're lucky enough to have a Wegman's grocery store nearby (I think they're mid-Atlantic region in the US) they have their own store brand "just turkey" and "just roast beef" which have about 40 mg of sodium for a 2 oz. serving. I…

Love this thread! Awesome goals everyone! I have two: I'd like to be in the 140's--I have 6 lbs to go to 149. I want to be able to run/jog 20 minutes without stopping--I just started C25K yesterday, so I should be able to do that in 5-6 weeks.

I just found this, and it looks like the best explanation I've seen so far: http://calorieline.com/tools/tdee

I love zumba! I usually go twice a week; it's the only cardio exercise I've ever really enjoyed. I was shy and intimidated by the class at first, so I went with a friend. At it turns out, there were ladies from 16 to 60, and from very fit to overweight beginners. When I first started going in February I would follow some…

I second the Moving comfort "fiona." It does flatten me out a little, but that's a fair trade for my DD's staying put. I love that the shoulder straps are (velcro) adjustable and it's sized like normal bras. I bought mine on amazon:…

"When is the new baby due!?" is always the worst. It's happened a few times, but it was probably worst from a 3 or 4 year old nephew of my boss, who asked, "is there a baby in your tummy?" and I had to explain no, that I was overweight.... "why?".... because I eat too much and don't exercise enough... "why?" because it's…

Series of related NSV's last week: -during a stressful day at work, I thought, "I can't wait to get to Zumba, that will make me feel better..." rather than, "I can't wait to pour a glass of wine, sit my butt down, & turn on the tv..." -when I got home from work and was trying to run right back out the door to the…

Hi, I'm kind of new here. I'm 30 years old, 5'2", and currently 175 lbs. I started at 186.6 in mid February of this year. My goal is somewhere around 125lbs, but I haven't been that small in 11 years! Feel free to add me if you want a buddy! So far I've been keeping my calories, sodium, & sugar in check, doing zumba twice…
