  • I stopped using acupuncture- 6 treatments. Would have been almost 4 months but I slipped a few weeks ago. Started having one cigarette every day for the past 3 weeks after dinner. Back on track, stopped again this weekend. I felt guilty and my body didn't respond well to starting again. I din't want to start but it's so…
  • It's one of the hardest things I've had to do. I didn't want to quit either. I didn't mind so much when the weather was cold but when it was nice out it was harder to quit. I went 3 months without smoking. I slipped a few weeks ago. I started having 1 cigarette every day after dinner. Shouldn't have started. I noticed the…
  • I faced the same dilema when I was unemployed a few years ago. My gym membership however wasn't $20 or $30 a month it was $65. For me that was a big deal. I was unemployed and I had 2 kids living with me that I had to support on my own. I bought a used Wii and bought used fitness games for it as well as some strength DVD's…
  • He's a big jerk. You've been on 2 dates and he wants to have sex to see if you're compatible in bed? Are you physically attractive to him? How well did the previous dates go, is there any depth to him or is he shallow and full of himself? I think that if there's an attraction sex will happen naturally. He seems desperate…
  • Welcome! Everyone here is wonderful and offer so much support and encouragement. They've gotten me through many hurdles. Being in our 40's there are more obsticles and it makes it harder to lose weight but don't be discouraged. You can do it.
  • Hi. I'm getting married June of 2014. I lost 35 lbs 3 years ago after my divorce without even trying. Nerves and stress I guess. It was fairly easy keeping it off until last year. I am now engaged to a wonderful man. I've put on 25 lbs in the past 7 months. Much to do with thyroid and of course age. So, I'm looking to lose…
  • Definitely going to try, looks delicious!

  • Do you find that Armour Thyroid has made a difference overall? I'm currently on Sythroid and I still have symptoms that don't seem to go away even though my tests come back ok with the medication I'm taking.
  • Thanks for posting this. I've been having a hard time losing so hopefully this will help
  • Chicken stir fry with lots of veggies and brown rice. You can also do the stir fry and toss with whole wheat penne and mix in pesto. It's great either way and it tastes great.
  • Absolutely awesome! You looked incredible!
  • I don't like water either. I only drink plain water when I exercise because that's the only time I really want water otherwise I feel dehydrated. I use the Nestea citrus tea sachets in a bottle of water. Tastes great. It's the only way I can drink water. There are others but the Nestea is made with Sucralose and not…
  • Who on earth has the balls to say something like that??? That's just plain insulting and I can tell you they wouldn't be a friend for long.
  • I know what you mean. I exercise almost every day and watch what I eat and can't seem to lose. I get comments like that all the time. Really ticks me off especially when your friends should be supporting you.
  • It's been a month now that I quit. It took me 6 tries in 2 years before I was able to stay completely smoke-free- not a puff nothing! Plain and simple, it's hard to quit. Whether you try to quit cold turkey or use a nicotine replacement therapy or pills, it takes will power. I tried everything from the patch, nicotine gum,…
  • Thank you for the replies. I find that it helps me relieve stress. It is a lot of fun. It's my favorite form of exercise. I do some strength training too but don't like it much.
  • My favorite is Caipirinha. It motivates me.
  • I want to reach my goal weight of 125-130 lbs and have a flatter tummy. Plus fit into all the nice clothes I bought last summer.
  • I'm 5'4 1/2" and my goal weight is 125. I was at 129 a year ago but now at 149. Slowly creeped up on me. I have hypothyroid which also doesn't help even with medication. Add as friend, I need encouragement and I can offer the same.
  • Hi. You do get to a point where your weight plateaus. Here is an article from about.com: Almost everyone reaches a weight loss plateau at some point in their fitness lives. The reason is that the human body works hard to keep energy intake and output in balance. In other words, your body does not like to lose weight (not a…
  • You're right. I used to skip breakfast, coffee was my breakfast until recently. I find if I eat something in the morning I'm not as hungry until my next meal and I can eat a small lunch afterwards.
  • I have a glass of red wine with dinner almost every night.
  • Haven't touched a cigarette at all and stopped using the patch weeks ago. I find that there is the odd time in my mind I think I need a cigarette but if I smell cigarette smoke it stinks. I've been around people that smoke beside me and it doesn't bother me I keep thinking how long it took to get to where I am and I will…
  • That is really great! I start day 5 tonight. Hope I get some results when I finish week 1.
  • Not a gentleman. He's a jerk! Just the way it's said. It seems he doesn't think you can look good and that you wouldn't bother to look good knowing you're going out, regardless of occassion. All it would take for a woman, at least me, to look her best is the mention of an ex being there (not ask me to do it) and I would go…
  • You'll do it. It takes a lot of will power regardless of using the patch or anything else but it is easier if you use . The results are so worth any withdrawal symptoms or weight gain. I gained 10 pounds but it will come off in time. It just takes your body and mind time to adjust. Take one day at a time. Best of luck!
  • I've been doing Zumba 2 for Wii for some time and I love it. It's fun and it burns those calories. I like it because it doesn't feel like a workout. I've done Zumba classes and it's different but I can do Zumba for Wii any time I want without having to leave home if I get home later or when I have time to do it. It's…
  • My fiance quit 14 years ago and he says there is always a time that something triggers the need for one but he's never, ever even taken a puff since quitting. It's been 2 months on and off that I've been quitting. I have days that I can go all day without even thinking about smoking. There are days that are torture. My son…
  • It is hard and I've had some minor slips but never give up, it is so worth all the health benefits in the end.
