If you can afford it buy a FitBit. It tracks your steps, calories burned, even your sleep pattern. Some people consider all activities exercise. What ever helps burn calories is good for you.

I have quit all artificial sweeteners. I use about 1 teaspoon of maple syrup in my coffee, and some honey on pancakes on occasion. I still use some sugar on occasion. I started 4 months ago. Tan Lines are mighty fine! I love the contrast. Total tan is alright, but tan lines is better. But the best thing is a great personality to go with the tan lines.

myth, but eating right before bedtime can cause sleep issues which in turn can lead to weight gain. It would have to be a constant problem with sleeping to cause the weight gain
