Hold onto your bottle of Lipitor... breakfast... a fat stack of pancakes with whipped cream, maple syrup and salty butter lunch... chicken parmi with side of chips and a pint of Coopers Pale Ale dinner.. Udon noodle soup and seared dumplings dessert.. cheesecake or gelato - don't make me choose!

I can't tell you what you should do but if it were me and my partner was acting this way, I would not stay with him. I'm me, this is what I look like, take it or leave it. If he chose the later, I'm pretty sure there'd be someone else out there who would happily accept - actually, not just accept, but LOVE - me as I am. I…

Wow! Sorry for the essay O_O

Ohhh I am most definitely a sugar addict. I tried to keep sweets in my diet by eating small portions of them and making sure they fit in my daily cals.. however, for me this did not work as having one portion of something sweet would trigger me to take more and more and completely blow it. So then I tried super…

I HATE awkward dates. My worst was with a guy I had met once extremely briefly. He asked me to dinner which I thought might be weird since we had literally talked a total of 3 minutes and unlike a movie date, dinner is total one-on-one time. Well, I was right - it was weird and super uncomfortable. We just did not click.…

your WEIGHT is OVER the healthy range for your height. you're overweight. I can't believe someone would get offended by this. And obese, just like overweight, is a clinical term to measure the degree of how overweight you are. we can change it so something else - how about "fabulous"? "You're clinically fabulous." It…

The only foods I cannot STAND are mayonnaise, cream cheese, sour cream... literally gag if I try and eat them plain or as a condiment. I can have them if they're mixed with other ingredients to the point where you can't taste them at all (pasta sauce, cream cheese frosting, tar tare sauce). Foods I don't like but would eat…

You guys are amazing! thanks for all the responses... even just reading them was encouraging, knowing that so many people have had the same issue and overcome it. I'm going to put to practice the "It's too late to worry about yesterday but the perfect time to plan for tomorrow" idea - much better for my sanity than…

What'd you get? A cheeseburger has ~290cals which is do-able calorie-wise. It's the lowest cal burger on the menu other than a hamburger I think. However, I personally would not be full after eating one small cheeseburger. They're kinda tiny in my eyes. So I would've gone for a Big Mac... ~500cal. This is far too many cals…

ice-cream, fish and chips on the beach (so, so bad), cocktails and cheese platters etc from having more get-togethers!

Here's one more, hopefully you'll thank me later? :P

This is me! My life is a cycle of stress -> eat junk -> feel guilty and uni amps up the stress so much! when I'm on holidays, I go to the gym at least five times a week... even better, it's because I genuinely want to. And I have no trouble eating clean. However, bring in Uni - meaning exam study, assignments and even just…

Sugar-Free jelly, watermellon, Weight Watchers fruit in jelly tubs (20cals a tub :|), beef jerky, sakatas or delites (like 400 for the whole box so you can have half and still keep it within your cal intake), no fat yogurts, a cup of frozen grapes (so good!), skinny cow icecream, Kings soup singles (it's like…

I don't believe in God, so neither option. I personally would feel... pointless... if I went through life believing that everything I do has already been predetermined by a 'supreme being'.

Because the people who write such things work for tabloids. It's their job to sensationalise stories and criticise celebrities using as much hyperbole as possible. These magazines are brought out weekly; when there's no story, you have to create your own.

er... what? I was specifically addressing the two example compliments that I gave (they have been popular answers in this thread) and how if somebody says either of THOSE TWO to you, i'm sure there's rarely hidden malice behind them. I was not generalising every comment anyone has ever made about you in the history of your…

That's intense OP! Good luck :)! I've given up sugar (for now), it's a terrible binge trigger for me. Also, alcohol to an extent... I used to have a couple glasses of red a week as well as going all out most weekends. Now I only drink on special occassions and never enough to get drunk.

This thread is... frustrating/confusing. You say, "you're looking great!" to someone and they get offended, thinking that you didn't think they looked great before. well, sorry to be blunt, but did YOU think you looked the best you could before? surely it's part of the reason you decided to lose the weight? Or you say…

Okay, at the risk of sounding like an infomercial, I use Proactiv. I've been using it for 5-6 years and it has DEFINITELY worked for me. When I use it twice a day, every day, I never get pimples 0_o. The only downside is that it takes about 20 mins to apply the three layers + a moisturiser (I use a Nivea Oil-Free one).

Super disturbing. What an idiot. Doctors should intervene ASAP.

Do you mean the parents are to blame for not explaining to their kids that there's a lot of photoshopping being done to the people you see in the media or :S?

Do you have a normal oven too? You can cut up the pumpkin into one inch cubes, spray it with a bit of oil spray and toss it with salt, pepper, minced garlic (whatever seasonings you want). Bake at 430F until it's tender when you pierce it with a fork (around 20 mins). Also yes, pumpkin is that low cal :)!

I'm 20, feel free to add me :)

Why did I not receive the incredible gene responsible for this!? Anyway, whole leg! Unless I'm in a hurry and I know that above the knee won't be seen in my outfit.

Yeah I've been considering making big batches every Sunday night for a while. I was hoping to find a low sodium ready made alternative but doesn't seem to be many around so I think i'm gonna have to give in and make it myself! Thank you for the tip on the bowls, great idea :)
-
I quickly googled the Progresso soups and sadly we don't have them in Australia! Which sucks because on the website it says they even have a reduced sodium range :( ah well, thank you though!

i have a 21st tomorrow night and this has been on my mind today too! what i'm thinking of doing is just getting a cardio session in at the gym and having a lower cal dinner or lunch than i usually would (probably a salad) to make sure my calories for the day aren't totally overboard. also, try to only have justtt enough…

feel free to add me- i'm looking for more support too and i'll try to help motivate you to stay on track :)!

I know, a month seems like a long time but I'm hoping it flies and that by the end of it I'm no longer even having cravings! I started today and the day has been easy... but I know it probably won't stay it lol :P. I was going to start June 1st just because there's conveniently 30 days in June but then I thought why wait,…
