  • my boss took us to lunch...can I count the 2 16oz glasses of iced tea (unsweetened of course) toward my total??
  • I got a horrible one from Sears that was like $200 and it squeeked and squeeled and we put WD40 on it all over and it still made a shrieking noise that scared the dogs and annoyed the heck out of me. then I traded up for a Reebok which I love. I got it from costco. I'd say stick with better brands but try buying used from…
  • I'm in for 100 oz. today! I was really proud of myself for doing it yesterday PLUS I wasn't as hungry...hmmm imagine that. duh. and the other thing I'm pretty happy about is that I didn't have to get up all night long and use the bathroom! the key was finishing in the early evening. so I'm about 20 oz. in so far this…
  • you are way ahead of me already...I'm a little concerned about traffic on the way home. :noway:
  • 66 oz down. Jesse if your water cooler at work is too cold do you have a "hot" water tap? I fill my water bottle about 2/3 with the FRIGID water and 1/3 with the super hot water - gives me coldish but not brain freezing! I cannot chug ice water and I'm a chugger too!
  • excess sweating can also be hormonally related. estrogen is stored in your fat cells so if you suffer from hormonal issues that can improve with weight loss also. but some people just sweat more than others.
  • snap my fingers, wiggle my nose, blink my eyes...I wish! I know exactly why I haven't lost much weight this summer and why I lost 2 lbs, gained 1.5, lost 0.5 gained 1, etc etc. for the past few weeks. I haven't been working out much, almost at all, and I've been eating too much and not making great choices. I have to…
  • I'm in. This is my first water challenge. I have a 33 oz SIGG bottle at work so If I can refill it so that I drink 2 before I leave this afternoon I should be able to do the 96 oz. today.
  • Have you tried contacting your local pug rescue to see if they can place him?
  • pug + beagle
  • they are called indoor trainers. Here is a link to a site that has reviews of them. Larger sporting goods stores carry them. http://bicycle-trainers.modernbike.com/?gclid=CNHYj6qrmZwCFQxM5QodwzaNfg I'm with you - I love cycling. always have but I have really gotten into it lately.
  • Frankly I don't care if I end up weighing 400lbs if I'm skinny and have the rock hard body of an 18 year old (I'm 39).
  • I saw this on the BBC show "you are what you eat" - I have not tried it but I plan to: using sweet potatoes and other root veg (turnip, carrot, etc.) peel into thin strips with a vegetable peeler. lightly spray with oil, lightly salt if you must & bake on low heat until crispy (won't take long because they are so thin -…
  • Start Date July 15 - Starting weight 200 lbs. Week 1 July 22 - 199 Week 2 July 29 - 201.5 Week 3 August 5 - 198.5 I'm back under 200!! -- the gain had to have been my TOM. I'm finding this summer to be difficult with all the parties, going out, etc. of course I have been cycling more than usual so I guess that's keeping me…
  • Start Date July 15 Starting weight 200 Week 1 July 22 - 199 (broke the 200 barrier whoo hoo) Week 2 July 29 -201.5 (TOM - always show a gain of a pound or 2) Ok yesterday was my birthday and so, even though I had a gain this week because of my TOM, I totally indulged in birthday gluttony. donut holes from a little donut…
  • ME TOO! I'm hoping the weight gain is due to the water weight because of TOM but heck the way I ate this weekend I would NOT be suprised if it's a "real" weight gain. cupcakes...I mean who can eat just one of those things anyway? and ice cream:love: ... and cheese:love: ...mmmmm. ...sorry, was lost in the memory. Ok…
  • I went to a hypnotist for weight loss several years ago. It was actually a very relaxing experience. more like meditating an no one could have told me to bark like a dog or anything like that (although I can do a heck of a jack russel terrier impersonation) . I think you have to be VERY suggestible (and perhaps a…

  • thank you thank you thank you for the congrats It's great. Several months ago when my boss said he was up to 215 (and he's significantly taller than me) I thought to myself, "I weigh more than he does, and I'm a girl, that's just not right" - so now...I weigh less. yay! today for lunch I'm having morningstar farms buffalo…

  • Can I make a suggestion? Could we start a new thread each week? "looking good by Christmas week #" I think it makes it easier to check in and read each week.
  • Did you stay within you nutritional goals? sort of...I was within calories but my choices weren't the best Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? yes! What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? kept going on the bike even though I started feeling "crampy" What would I have done differently? had a real dinner What is…
  • If he likes chips & dip: cut up a whole wheat tortilla into triangles bake in the oven until lightly browned & crisp serve with salsa (get an organic low sugar variety - some of the mass produced ones have sugar and they aren't any better tasting!) I read a post somewhere on this site where someone said they take a hard…
  • If you can't easily eat your calories due to medical reasons I wouldn't dare sit on you...unless of course it would help you feel better!
  • take the most ridiculous thing you can imagine and then multiply it by 100 and you still can't come close to how bad it was. I can't remember the name of it but I will NEVER forget the excersises.
  • Thanks Banks you rock!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: and can I just say that if I have to read another post talking about how hard it is to eat all 1000/1200 whatever calories each day I'm going to scream. to heck with screaming I'll express my inner fat chick and sit on them! I like food. food is good. I…
  • I eat dessert every day too! my sweet tooth won't allow me to give up dessert. but I try to be smart about dessert and make sure I have the calories for it. sometimes I only need a small square of dark chocolate. cheating is really a relative term because I don't consider eating dessert to be a cheat if I have the calories.
