I take a multi vitamin that I get through a place called puritan's pride - they are VERY competitive in price (they do buy one get one sales all the time) and they have a massive selection. I bet you could find chewable multi-vitamins on their website.

Me TOO! I used to love iced water when I was younger but now in the middle years I can only do room temperature!
-
I'm in - I need the challenges to keep me focused on drinking enough throughout the day. I'm shooting for 100.

aw don't cry! I'll respond. I don't have one but have slept on the tempurpedic type beds. very comfortable but the viscous material tends to retain heat. if you're a hot sleeper (no newlywed conotations meant by that :blushing: ) you may not like it.

I'm in! I've done 32 oz already and I'm on the second bottle. Boy did I need this today!!

I use Trader Joe's Aria Women's protein powder. I like it. I make a "smoothy" out of it by blending 8 - 10 oz. of orange juice with frozen pineapple tidbits (maybe 3/4 cup) and a scoop of the powder - it's delicious!

Remember that your son would want the best for you. He would want you to be happy and healthy. Use that to inspire you to do what you can. That means not beating yourself up over a few pounds as well as getting back on track.

that button would be helpful...but you should get some sort of error message that gets progressively more insulting each time you use it. I'm thinking of time #4: ERROR: AGAIN?? What are you THINKING??!! You do actually want to lose weight right?

I don't worry about anyone thinking I'm crazy around here. I'm pretty sure they all think I have turret syndrome anyway.:ohwell:

Thanks! Isn't that the great thing about MFP? when you need to hear something or know that someone is going through what you're going through, you can find it here! :flowerforyou: MFP rocks!

RUN from that doctor as fast as you can! any doctor who thinks 500 calories a day is ok is a quack (no disrespect to ducks)!

Here's a hint for excellent frozen/blended coffee drinks: make a coffee syrup - it will intensify the flavor! just make coffee as you usually would and reduce it on a low boil. this does require some sugar but you do not have to use much at all. when it coats a spoon you have syrup! let it cool and then go to town. delic!

this is making me hungry!! I just did this last night it was SO good - peel and chop a butternut squash - saute it with salt, pepper and garlic in a little olive oil - after it starts to caramelize a bit add in 2 cups of chicken stock or broth and let it reduce by 1/2 - the squash pieces should be very tender and easy to…

not having insurance sucks but I wouldn't put off a trip to the doctor. especially if you have swelling in the area. something is going on and you need to have it looked at. good luck, hope everything goes well.

Kate is a shrew and John is an idiot. Frankly I think they deserve each other. The kids do not (even the little fuss pot Mady - carbon copy of her mother) deserve to have this all played out in the public eye. the children deserve some privacy. and the blame for their lack of privacy rests squarely on the shoulders of…

I'm in...I need a flush. I ate taco bell last night. by choice. I never eat taco bell. it was a moment of insanity.

The absence of stress is death. Everything, even positive things cause stress. The issue is how you manage the stresses in your life. There are tons of things that can help you de-stress: massage, meditation, working out, yoga, etc. But the biggest helper of all is to not over stress in the first place. easy to say I know.…

that is so great!

what about offering to cook one night a week? tell them not to worry you won't make it all green and flavorless and then make something delicious that does not seem like "diet food" - make enough so you have leftovers so at least that'd be 2 nights of the week you felt good about dinner. otherwise I'd work on Casper's…

It's always best to make your goal a positive. It has more power. saying, "I won't gain the weight back" isn't as powerful as a positive statement. and look, if you need a "thing" happening in your life to keep you on track, well make something up. for instance, if the wedding is in October then when the wedding is over…

I have an ab lounger. I bought it from a friend who fell for the infomercial. I don't know what he paid but I gave him $25 for it and it's great for me because I have a herniated disk. I have a ball too and that works pretty well. Also, I've tried excersise videos on demand and done one called crunchless abs which gives…

That's so awesome! what an inspiration you are!
-
I think that says it all. give it a day or two I bet it will come down.
-
moving is VERY stressful. If you can use excersise and concentrating on your diet as your "anchor" to sanity it will help.

YAY Shanta!!!! You go girl!

I used to HATE the scale. didn't even get on it at the doctors office. seriously. the nurses used to say, "well is it ok if we at least take your blood pressure?" like I was some kind of weirdo. ok I admit to being a weirdo. but I wasn't getting on the scale only to see the number that would make me feel worse then…

well water is very beneficial. it's recommended that you get 8 (8 oz.) glasses a day at least. it keeps you from being dehydrated, it flushes stuff out of you naturally, it also helps keep you feeling full and not reaching for a snack - lots of times we think we're hungry when we're actually thirsty. so :drinker:
-
I'm in. but I'm getting a late start here - it's almost 10 a.m. and I've barely done 8 oz. - must be carryover for my slacker weekend! I'm still going to try for 100 oz.
-
66 oz. down...whew! 2/3 of the way there.

the problem with going to a consult is that some doctors are more ethical than others. my neice had the surgery and she was not required to lose weight ahead of time, she was obese but not in a life threatening situation and she was only 19 years old. she had horrible eating habits and didn't exercise. they didn't make her…
