Not super duper exciting... today's dinner was pan fried pork chops with mushroom sauce, oven roasted sweet potatoes, and steamed asparagus.

I don't have any advice for you, but I just wanted to commiserate - I could have written this exact post! Right down to offering to take over cooking for the family - partly because I enjoy it, partly as a way to contribute, but mostly because I need to know what I'm eating. Unlike you, I don't think I'm at a point yet…

This looks AMAZING. I think I'm going to try making this for a breakfast-for-dinner this week. Oka cheese is (one of) my favourites!!!

It was amazing! I fed it to 6 different people, who all loved it, even my father-in-law, who is a very traditional eater. Our coach at the gym told me I should go into the cake business after trying it. :) Really, I think it's just that the flavours are so interesting - the cardamom, rose, and saffron really stand out, and…

I kind of fell off posting my daily sweets for a while - my mum was in town visiting, and I was blowing my calories on meals as it was, so I wasn't including a whole lot of sweets. I did have some tasty Mars cheesecake one day though. I wish I'd taken a photo of it, it was amazing! Now I'm back to reality, back to normal…

Hey there, in my experience you can be in any shape to start CrossFit - provided you have a knowledgeable and experienced coach who will modify the exercises in the safest way for you and your ability. And not every gym that says CrossFit will have that. It sounds like you've done a lot of reading, and that's great. Just…

I wish we had pistachios! Yum. But it's okay, I remembered we had peanut butter. Problem solved.

My net calorie goal is 1300, although with the amount of activity I do I consume somewhere between 1700-2000 calories a day. While I'm never, EVER too full to eat my calories, some days I just get weary of trying to juggle the calories and macros and making good choices. Like today, my goal is 2035 and I have almost 500…

When I started going to the gym, I went at 5 pm like clockwork for two years. Then, when I got to my last year of veterinary school, I was looking at 15-17 hour days starting at 6:30 a.m. By then I was doing CrossFit, so my only choice in terms of their class schedule was 6 a.m - and regardless, we'd sometimes be at school…

I log every day that I have an internet connection, and I love cooking and baking, and trying new recipes! :)
-
Can we still get in on this? Or are you going to start a new 30 days? I'm happily unemployed for the summer before starting grad school, and I've been baking like a lunatic since moving in with family and actually having people (besides just me and the bf) to bake FOR. Today's experiment was sour cherry clafoutis. It was…

late twenties, and I log obsessively so long as I have an internet connection! :)

My diary is open, and I LOVE to cook! :) My breakfasts/lunches tend to be the same every day, but I have a lot of fun trying out new dinner recipes.

breakfast doesn't have to be traditional breakfast foods... there was a while when I was having a stirfry of spinach, chicken chunks, and mushrooms for breakfast. And to second the person who said quinoa... there are some tasty quinoa porridge recipes around too! :)

This happens to me fairly often - my friends and I love having dinner parties, and when we do go out to eat it's never at a chain restaurant, so on those days I'm doing a bunch of guessing! I usually try to find something similar in the database and choose something in the average-high calorie range to err on the safe…
